  • you already know when it hits the ground its already over =\

  • Uhhh, I don't think that's Muay Thai. I liked the flailing in side control though.

  • I am a bjj guy, but neither fighter looked particularly skilled.

  • @poolboyinla my thoughts too

  • the "thai boxer" has be training for like week?>

  • That Thai boxer looked like he'd been fighting for less than a month.

  • Oh wait, BJJ can't even defend against 2 people, because your always on the ground.

  • That's one lousy muay thai practitioner

  • BJJ é foda, como dizia o grande mestre Helio Gracie... ta pra nascer uma luta mais eficiente que essa

  • BJJ is for entertainment and MMA. It is an ineffective for self defense because you cannot possibly defend against 2-3 people at once.

  • @breakerd1 And you sir are dumb as hell.

  • @breakerd1 not being able to defend against 2-3 people at once makes it ineffective for self-defence against 2-3 people at once, and not ineffective for self-defence at all. also life is not Matrix or Chuck Norris films and the best defence against multiple attackers is to either knock one of them out or break away and escape. and being able to quickly take someone down or break a grip is quite useful for such a scenario.

  • @breakerd1 note that even good punchers frequently get into clinch (even against a single opponent), if there's multiple attackers and one catches you in a clinch, it's over

  • @breakerd1 tell me 1 martial art that is 100% efective againts multiple opponents???

  • @abner0fedor Sprint-Fu

  • @breakerd1 If a striker can't beat a bjj guy or wrestler, how are they going to beat more than one of them?

  • po ko kra do muay thay envergonho aki eu campeão cearense e vice brasileiro do mma

  • Like picking wings off a fly

  • out of control by chemical brothers

  • If that was really Muay Thai, he would have chopped those legs in half.

  • THAT'S NOT MUAY THAI, BITCH

  • Muay Thai ?

Ossss!

  • jajaja una mierda los dos

  • Sadly these are still fights with many rules. I'd would like to see Jiu jitsu go into Thailand and fight in a Thai ring. Where as Elbows and Knees are all legal while standing, or on the ground... with no helmets.

  • WATCH: Mohammed Lawal vs. Roger Gracie, you have to know more than one to be effective.

  • jiu-jitsu forever

  • jiu jitsu got no art

  • Why people don't grind their elbows to the BJJ ribs is beyond me. Talk about easy.

  • @matreyia Tend to get your arm broken if you leave it inside

  • @MacFlanahan - You will get your arm broken if you leave it anywhere at the wrong time and place. Now that, that's out of the way... look again at :22, see how the side mounted bottom guy is being stupid and not addressing the situation. He stupidly tries to hit the BJJ person with his weakest link - his fists, at the worst angles. He should instead take his left elbow, grind it into the BJJ ribs and right elbow tip & slam it into the neck or side of head area. Unless there are rules...cont..

  • @matreyia Again, if you do that, you tend to get your arm broken

  • @MacFlanahan - You still don't understand do you? Look again at 22 seconds after he gets side mounted. Unless there is some magical mutant arm on the ribs of the BJJ guy...he's a goner. It just so happens, he mounted a guy who did not think about his ribs and chose instead to use his fists attacking the most muscular and hardest areas of the human body, namely, the back muscles and the back of the head...the futilty is further amplified because both of them have protection on hands and head.

  • @matreyia Go train some BJJ.

  • ...cont... and if there are rules, there is no point in training this stuff unless you just want to make money in the ring. Since I also do BJJ, after using my elbows to force the mounter to move a bit, elbow pressure would force him to move his neck away from the right elbow, then my right leg would slide around & up to catch his neck & connect with my left leg & then squeeze. Then the BJJ guy would try to address my legs, at which pt. he makes his arms vulnerable.

  • @matreyia hmmmm... so how to you suggest training? No contact? or all-out-no-holds-barred?

  • @MacFlanahan - Black and white logic doesn't work friend. I can control the amplitude of my elbow into your ribs, I don't have to break them. The same with your neck or ears.

U see how the "muay thai" guy is panicking? He loses calmness and starts the flight response, trying to push away the BJJ guy off of him at 32 secs. Because he did this he gave the BJJ guy his arm, which if it were a real fight, would have been broken. The whole time he fought the BJJ guy, missing all the vital openings.

  • @matreyia I have no ida what you are saying. I think we have radically different definitions of the word 'amplitude' and have no idea what your reference of Black and White logic is.

    There are only four options:

    1) Train techniques with no contact. This is what WC does because their moves are "Too deadly"

    2) Train with 100% contact. Stupid. People tend to get severely injured.

    3) Train with LOTS of rules. OK. Doesn't really help you improve your techniques.

    4) Train with minimal rules. MMA

  • @MacFlanahan - Even in BJJ, there is the matter of "amplitude". You apply enough energy to submit, not to break. The same applies to any other arts. Nobody should train with 100% contact, or else it isn't "training".

U r skirting around the reality of the issue here with your black & white either/or logic.

Stop this non-sense talk & look at the video & TRY to see the BJJ's ribs exposed. That's all I am telling u. If u mounted me like that...I guarantee I would spear my elbow into your ribs.

  • @matreyia Go train some BJJ. If you do, you will quickly discover that there is a reason why you don't spend much time grinding ribs. I'm sorry, but I can't explain it any better to you.

  • @MacFlanahan - 4 Yrs. of Gracie JJ and two in UH Judo Club is enough for me. Thanks for the suggestion though. That being said, you should study proper Wing Chun and you will quickly discover why you don't want to expose your ribs, neck, face, collar bone. Sorry I can't explain it better to you. The best of both worlds...I am a lucky man to have learned them both.

  • @matreyia LOL. Yes. And someone who's trained boxing would say that a jab isn't an effective punch.

Absurd. You're either lying or stupid.

  • @MacFlanahan - I don't know what ur background is, but as for myself, I have experience in both arts. There are strengths & weakness in both arts. At the right time & place either one of these arts can be good or not appropriate. If u don't know Wing Chun as well as BJJ, then u should keep ur mouth shut. Because u speak from a point of ignorance.

U have no idea what elbow energy even means, so I don't have to prove ur lack of knowledge...cont..

  • Comment removed

  • @MacFlanahan - What is it u don't understand? Ur the making sweeping statements about arms being broken. I actually added details to that statement to clarify the context in which arms would indeed be broken. Yet u seem stuck on such a simplistic statement about the demerits of keeping elbows inside. I told you, already, if your elbows are inside at the wrong time & place, u could get ur arm broken. If u want to think this applies to ALL situations, go ahead. Don't matter to me.

  • @MacFlanahan - If u want to talk about ur theories, go ahead, but do as I am doing here. I am talking about this video in particular. Not some generic situation. So yeah, sure, arms get broken in some situations where elbows are kept in. But here, in this video, the context is different. In this video, exposing the ribs like that to a person who knows how to use elbow energy united with his trapezius back muscles...good luck saving those ribs.

  • Let's see. Inexistent distance control. Slow approach. Weak takedown. Sloppy transition from side control to full mount. Bad mount control. Knees too far apart in armbar. That guy was lucky he didn't fight against a more experienced fighter.

  • Lol. The guy flailed like a mother fucker when he got taken down. Conserve energy, bro!!

  • The "MT" guys stance is too square. elbows are out. and if the bjj guy threw a right cross when he kicked he mightve learned it keep your hands up. sloppy looking armbar as well.

  • wooooo go gracie barra!

  • i beat ju jitsu fighters with striking, but only because i hold ju jitsu in higher esteem than my striking skills and because i know a little ju jitsu myself as well as wrestling..i know that i am done once a ju jitsu fighter gets a good hold on me

  • a bit unlucky armbar attempt: the jj-guy stretched his opponents arm before his feet were completely over him. (first position, then submission!)

also much too much distance between his buttocks and his opponents side.

    interesting though.

  • Not to just agree or cause a riot- but if you notice how the MT guy throws both his arms out like a swan when he kicks? Bad for entirely.

  • That "muay thai" guy sucked really bad. This is an example though of how it is easier for a grappler to take a "stand up" fighter out of his element that vice versa. It is much harder to force someone to stand and trade than to force them to take it to the ground.

  • Just to be clear, I am a Karate fighter and I am starting Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai, and i respect all the styles, but I realy believe that Jiu has an advantage, just that

  • Jiu-jitsu is the best one to one fight. Once you are on the ground against a Jiu fighter you are done... Royce proved this. Of course a Jiu Jitsu fighter can be knocked out, but he will win 9 in 10 fight against one that does not fight it. Standing fight need a hability, but there can be a lucky shot. On the ground, if you do not know the techinic you will loose...

  • o lutador de muay thayparace uma barata nervosa po.

  • as aways its not the martial art as much as the martial artist that makes the real diffrence..... point in case

  • stupid guy

i do muay thai and for my vision this muay thai fighter here dont know how to kick or punch or less doa fucking sproll

please go train and then post a video

  • Punch and kick too slow that why he lose.

When BJJ grap you leg or arm you will end.

  • muay thai kid is fucking retarded

  • nao tem nem com paraçao do muay thai para o jiu jitsu e que bela finalizaçao com esse arm lock.

    vleu

  • tem que para com essa que uma luta é superior a otra

  • what muay thai? more like muay suck

  • hahaha bjj beats all martial arts

  • @fgmaster1234 Thats not true thats ignorant.

  • @shamiun2 stfu

  • BJJ THE BEST

  • Not muay thai and fake

  • They both fucking suck! If that BJJ dude wasn't wearing a helmet he would have been out, and if that Muay thai dude knew how to throw a punch he would have done way more than slap him upside the head

  • pode ser tae ken do karate muay thai de frente pra um jiu jitero vc logo cai!

  • @salimstronger

There's no "best" martial art, you can only compare fighters.

  • jiu-jitu nunc perde para nada

  • Eso no es Muay thai ese wey es un puñetas, a alguien que de verdad sepa Muay thai intenta derribarlo y te deja la cara como Santo Cristo.

  • the old guy won

  • That's not muay thai..

  • @TheRemarkableDude And you are? Oh yeah nobody. So who are you to say that this isn't Muay Thai. He sucks, but hes wearing Muay Thai shorts and got a bit of technique. I'd say that's pretty Muay Thai.

  • @Benns1991 Who am I to say that this not Muay Thai? Well, I have trained muay thai for over 8 years, I have competed for over 5 years, and by looking at this clip I can easily make the assumption that this dude is not a muay thai fighter. And how the fuck can you say that he’s got technique, did you even watch the clip? The dude has no technique what so ever, I don’t know what he’s doing in this clip but he sure as hell isn’t doing any muay thai.

  • @Benns1991 . “but he’s wearing Muay Thai shorts and got a bit of technique. I'd say that's pretty Muay Thai.” So you mean that if i went to the store and bought a Bjj gi and a black belt that would automatically make me a black belt in Bjj? The fact that he is wearing muay thai shorts doesn’t mean shit.

  • REZA PRA MIM NAO TE LEVAR PRO CHÃO!

  • BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU IS THE BEST MARTIAL ART ,

  • the muay thai guy is retarded

  • é a arte suave meu amigo....

  • the muay thai fighter should learn how to block.

  • Some dude vs BJJ is what the title should say.

  • HAHAHAH XXXD

    THat aint muay thai

    But thai-ish bitch clapping

  • Jiu Jitsu is a best style if you don't want to beat up your opponent...

  • Cross train people, these style vs style matches, especially strict strikers vs strict grappler , will always end with one side looking stupid.

  • muay thai????

  • LMAO these stupid ass stand up guys arnt getting that Jiu Jitsu is a whole better way of fighting matter of fact the best way of fighting its just new so its having trouble being accepted.

  • @eddiereyes1988 Best my ass! The best style depends on the situation. Using the wrong style in the wrong situation will get ur ass killed. BJJ is not good for every scenario. No martial art is. If u think that u can just go to the ground in every situation then ur full of shit and stupid as fuck too.

  • @osensei2987 You know what bro your right but up to a point....I mean stylelisticly wise Martial art vs Martial art Jiu Jitsu is the best and that has been proven over and over again..so if you fight some1 who has no ground game your like a solid 85% gonna win right?? or you think im wrong??

  • @eddiereyes1988 Yes you are wrong! Martial arts are meant to work together. Just because one martial art has the advantage over another doesn't mean anything. In a fight you may not be able to go to the ground. If ur in a crowd of ppl then u don't know who u can trust! U gonna go to the ground in that situation? That's why you have to be able to flow from art to art. Comparing art vs art is like comparing a hammer to a screw driver! They are meant for different jobs.

  • @osensei2987 Ok if your in a crowd of ppl you dont trust you shouldnt be fighting in the first place or the ground or standing up cuz either way you could side busted in your dome right??

  • @eddiereyes1988 You think you can choose? That's funny as shit! You don't always get to choose whether to fight or not. A stand up guy at least has his mobility in his favor. Worse case he can run. Put your ass on the ground and escaping is a lot harder. My point is that the situation dictates which art you should use. There is no one art that is good for everything. So the fact that one are can defeat another doesn't mean anything. You still need to know other arts.

  • @osensei2987 mobility?? then if you that serious just run away....but in the other case you could go heads and what im saying is ONE ON ONE were no body steps in jiu jitsu is the way to go and obviously this video shows why

  • @eddiereyes1988 How in the hell do you know if someone is going to step in or not? Answer: you don't. Even when it seems like there's nobody else around, mofos can come outta nowhere. The street is an uncontrolled environment! You BJJ nuts better stick to the octagon where you at least have Big John McArthie to step in and save yo ass! Cuz nobody's going to be there to save your ego crazed ass on the street after you unwittingly fight yourself into a corner trying to be badass!

  • @osensei2987 Then if thats what you feel then run away! like i said idiot 1 on 1 but your bitch ass dont listen..

  • @eddiereyes1988 A cop just can't run away! Neither can a soldier! They are bound by duty. Some ppl have to stay and fight! What if ur with ur wife or girlfriend dumbass? U gonna just run off and leave them. What if someone is blocking the a door to prevent u from leaving? I agree that BJJ comes in handy. Also it is a very intelligent way of fighting. However, it is not a fix all. Unfortunately, the greedy bastards that teach it are pumping ppl up to think just that (that it answers all).

  • @osensei2987 I never said jiu jitsu is "Fix All" i said it is the best martial art to use and its been proving over and over so shut your fucking mouth an get off my dick and thats why cop have to learn some techniques and so does our military

  • @eddiereyes1988 Full of shit! If someone fucks with you then you can beat the shit out of them with any martial art ( Mauy Thai, Judo, Karate, etc.) just as well as you can with BJJ. So wtf is your point? That BJJ is the best because it wins against stand up? Hell any ground style is gonna win over stand up! What makes BJJ so special? Martial artist have known that ground styles win over stand up for hundreds of years. You obviously just figured it out and now you're going ga ga over BJJ noob!

  • @osensei2987 lol did you just say im going ga ga over bjj?? hahah your stupid but look bro the percentage of you winning is greatly increased when being used agaist sum1 who dont know it it has been proven and you say ppl been knowing ground is better then stand up for thousands of years then you tell me why every1 dont just learn it?? cuz the millions of ppl like you want to see a stand up fight thats what your used to so end of story.

  • @eddiereyes1988 I don't disagree with what ur saying. What I'm trying to tell u is that it is not important whether BJJ can win over stand up styles. That doesn't prove anything. It's like saying that football is inferior to baseball because no one on the football team can hit a 98 mph fast ball. The two are apples and oranges. A ground fighter will always win. But u can't use ground techniques in every situation. Sometimes u have to stay on ur feet at all costs. U still need stand up.

  • @eddiereyes1988 well quite frankly your percentage of winning greatly increases if the guy doesnt know what he's doing in the first place-reguardless of what u do know. And if u add in a weapon, tables can turn quickly. Ground fighting isnt "better" than stand up.Its simply different. But no BJJ master i know will tell u to go to the ground in a self defense situation...but it works well with a matt and 1 vs 1 unarmed opponent. Yes i do both striking and grappling.

  • @osensei2987 , fuck!!!!!, stupid

  • @osensei2987 damn rage much?

  • @osensei2987 it´s true. you can´t say one style is better than other seeing this video, but, at the ground, muay thai is useless. Jiu jitsu forces you to fight at the ground, if that happens muay thai lose in all scenaries.

  • @osensei2987 yeah 5v1 situation fuck it run !!!

  • @osensei2987 Japanese JJ is all-round and so underrated..

  • @osensei2987 agreed.

  • my stand up is better than that guy, and I do bjj. this vid is a nonsense.

  • no muay thai

  • what muay thai ?

  • Easy.. in Muay Thai we haven't grapplings -.- try to fight punching or kicking, for an equal fight. Fight on this way is like to kick a pugilist. Just a pussyfight

  • @novi90thebest Listen you disrespectful little bitch. The video is a sparing match between Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai. Don't come to a fucking video named JIU JITSU VRS MUAY THAI if you want your pussy ass specifications. If any rules were placed it would just be a sparring match with opponents knowledgeable in separate styles. Quit being a dumb ass.

  • @IHaveAMask JJ just works against us ONLY because of grappling. Try to fight against another grappler, like MMA, maybe that should be EQUAL. As I just told you, is like to kick a pugilist, it's only easy and senseless. (dont call me "little bitch", im not your sister, remember!)

  • @novi90thebest but you can say that about BJJ as well, they don't have stand-up skills either. Nothing prevented muay thai guy from just avoiding takedowns and keeping striking. I guess muay thai does have techinques to counter takedowns, doesn't it?

  • @Nefarion90 I think Muay Thai hasn't, but im not a master (im just 1 year practicer), i could be wrong.

  • @Nefarion90 It does

  • lol First it was an americana and then armbar lol he switched it pretty fast.

  • Thats not Muay Thai.
