Thats like my dad he moved to michigan and opened up a factory for FLP in BH. it lasted i think around 10 years. he kept hiring black employes but they wouldnt show up they were late. or they would play the race card and my dad would fire them on the spot. you cant run a buisness if the employes dont show up. the buisness got shut down 1 year after he had had enough. so another one bights the dust. you cant help people that dont want to help themselves
oh my god really it is seriously not that bad. quit over exagerating. yea it's down here right now and yea there are no jobs but it's not like you walk down the street and ppl try to rob you. i lived in benton harbor and work in benton harbor and even have to go through the " bad" parts to pay my bills things will pick up and it will get better. it's not just this town it's the entiere economy.
Wow I was born that November. I left Benton harbor 1 year after finishing high school and never looked back. The people there need to get it together. It's crazy to me that just across the bridge it's like stepping into a different world. How is it that St. Joseph can thrive but Benton Harbor continues to die? If the people want change then they themselves must change first. But that's the problem... they think the world starts and stops with the bullshit that goes on in that town.
Exactly. I left in June. Atlanta's not any better, but it beats BH. I actually remembered when this aired back in the 70's, I think it was Channel 2 out of Chicago. The problem is that people have a ghetto mindset...whenever you mention or point out the many bad things there, or how counter-productive behavior contributes to negative image of the town, they say "you're hatin!'" Unless the people look at themselves & change how they think, act, and see things, it wont change!
i live in bridgman MI it take me about 10 to 15 min to get to benton harbor i go there like every day it is bad the hood is run run run run run down lol man its a hard place gangs and just like every other hood man trying to get out that shit but i roll to the hood all the time i like it lot of cool people
@INSANEFREAK1 you can only help the people that want to help themselves. whitey cant just throw money at you anymore. you notice how all the people working for him were white cause they show up for work. get a job ya free loader.
