Gomez-Getting Better(harmonies in particular on this version are good.) Al Green-I Want To Hold Your Hand. Fiona Apple, David Bowie, Rufus Wainwright and The Flower Kings have all done great versions of Across the Universe. You like Dead Meadow so you might go for The Flower Kings version. Recently Stevie Wonder did a great live version of We Can Work it Out.
