It's so simple but yet beautiful I tried this myself and it wasn't that bad the first one came out funny but I kept repeating and learning from my mistake that I didn't notice the strokes were getting alot smoother the only thing is I need a better brush set because mine took alot of damage from practicing but overall this is fun and relaxing I can't wait until I master this so I can use it to make a present for my grandmother

the best way to do lettering is with a square ended brush...not a round brush

To those who don't know...her technique is similar to tole painting...and if you learn how to work the brush in her manner..it will help you with your OWN style of painting..not just copying. Plus, it really helps if you do any kind of lettering/calligraphy with a brush, not just pens/nibs etc.

I'm not trying to speak for the entire world, merely the portion of the world that is important in the world of art. Any artist with any actual artistic education would be quick to tell you the exact same thing. Obviously there are things which are not simply 'art' or 'not art'. This is not one of those things. This woman may be capable of making actual art, but she certainly is not displaying that ability here.

First off, learn to use grammar properly before you attempt to argue in any way, shape or form.

She may have money, but she certainly has no respect from the art community. Technique is not everything, although it is important. However, this technique has nothing to do with art. This is simply copying and pasting exactly what she did onto your canvas. Calling these people artists would be like calling stenographers authors.

This woman doesn't even make art. She makes "pretty pictures" that uneducated masses accept as quality because they are too thickheaded to understand actual intelligent artworks. The general public wants everything condensed into an "it's just that easy!" format, which is simply not the way good art can be made. Sure quality art can be simple (see Formalism), but it's not about how it's done, it's about why it's done. There's no emotional, intellectual or psychological message behind her "art".

you use acrylic paint. i just took a class at a local Hobby Lobby store, and our One-Stroke instructor recommended Folk Art acrylics. Very inexpensive!

This is very much like painting 'Toleware', as used for all the 'toleware' (Kettles etc.) on the narrow boats on the English canal's. Again it takes practice! Nicely done
