lol nice wave - make sure it dont catch u!, i started off with snowboarding (you know like going on a snowboarding trip every 3 or 4 months) but i couldnt do it so often so i decided to start skateboarding and from skateboarding a lot i got a good sense of balance so i learnt how to curf as well - and found it quite easy to learn, out of the 3 (snowboarding, surfing and skateboarding) id say surfing is the best, but skateboarding the cheapest

First you need to figure which direction the waves are breaking. Second you need to pick a wave that will break about 5 to 10 metres ahead of you toward the beach, paddle early because the more speed the better. Once you start to feel the wave start to pick you up give 2 hard smooth strokes for and be ready to stand up. once you are up you will need to do a small turn so that you are prallel to the beach almost and whilst doing this pump your legs left to right for more speed.
