He doesn't "need to play any other style, music is about playing what you love, and he obviously loves the blues..

This, my ignorant friend, is absolute bullshit.

The 12 bar blues (which uses three chords) is a solid grounding for writing in the jazz/blues style.

Also, playing 12 bar blues develops improvisational technique, and is the most creative way to play the piano.

This sounds like a Fur Elise intro to a boogie, and I don't feel you transitioned well. I don't really get how you combined boogie and classical. Now that you're in your upper twenties, it'd be interesting to see you actually combine the two.
