Hi I am thinking of getting this camera. can I upload my film with the USB cable straight from the camera to my PC? I am using Cyberlink Power Director version 8, and windows XP home.

UXP isn't a file type, it's a setting on the camera. UXP is the highest quality you can record with this camera.
Yes, it's filmed in UXP. I haven't compressed or edited any of the footage with JVC GZ-HM445 in the title. Just uploaded the .mts file directly from the SDHC card. It's a pretty big upload that way but I have an unlimited internet account so that works for me.

One question, what quality setting is this filmed on? UXP?
And when you uploaded it to Youtube, did you compress it down, and if so, what compression settings?
