Know that flying around even 1 million will cause your avatar glitch, and begin to flicker. 2 million will cause it to "jiggle". 3 will cause it to "minimize-and-maximize", and 4 will cause it to get squeezed. ^.^

I have often wondered why they don't just change the default on this, too. I don't know anyone who doesn't have a flight helper, so it's obviously something people feel they need, and with Havoc changing the build heights, I would imagine they will REALLY appreciate it. It'd be nice to fly around my build even if it's at 1000m.

There is no way to get higher without a tool at this time.

Ahoy Torley! Flight Feather's had several updates since the copy you seem to be using. Flight Feather is freely redistributable, but I do prefer that people buy it - it's cheap, about L$50, and it's people buying it that have kept me updating it!
