It would be just refreshing to hear from everyone that trees as a resource and our air, environment etc., ALL DESERVE RESPECT.

WHat the HELL do you know about silviculture!? There are times, especially in the SE U.S., that the only way to restore the health of a forested area is to clear cut it and start over. Have you ever heard of Southern Pine Beetles, Brown Spot, or Littleleaf Disease. The ONLY prescription in the case of severe outbreaks or infestations is clearcutting if for no other reason than to protect all the other stands in the area!
