  • holy crap that camera quality looks unreal. was it really expensive?

  • @jualkyn No that is the CanonT2i. the lens is the expensive part. Lens cost twice the body.

  • @jualkyn The Canon T2i body is approx $800. The lens on this camera is double that. I could have come close to the same look with a lens that is in the $500 range, but that 1.2 is the way to go if you can swing it.

  • @tedmackel HOLY CRAP. Wow that is expensive but I guess you really do get what you pay for. I have never seen a camera with this level of picture/filming quality b4 that wasn't basically from a movie.

  • @jualkyn The Expense is relative...The Body on the T21 and the 60D is a bargain. I bought the first generation Digital Rebel in 2003 for $1100.00 Now to shoot video this quality with just a few more bucks with a quality lens is really incredible.

  • @jualkyn 550d body is like 500 lens is about 1000 ;)

  • when you say "wide open" do you mean like an aperature of F1.2 like you said.

And is "Smaller Aperature" mean something like F 3.5?

    Thanks

  • @kvnyng Yeah I just realized that sounds counter-intuitive. The lower the number the farther the aperture opens which is referred as a fast/faster lens. The faster the lens, the bigger the glass/optics, the more the cost.

  • That's amazing, what was the iso?

  • may pinoy!!! \m/

  • may i know what is your sony shotgun model?

  • @Musicery It's on the credits on video.

  • @Musicery

  • great video.. but the sound is from the cam??

  • @azzurres1 No we have a little sony shotgun mic on the camera.

  • @azzurres1 The camera has an external mic port. We has a Sony shotgun mic plugged in. Ever since I started working with Cameras that have a Mic jack it is very rare you will see me use the mic that built in to the camera.

  • I like the bokeh effect going on in the first interview. Steve, we need to get you in front of the camera doing the interview. We are going to film the crepe truck on Monday. Can you come out for lunch?

  • @tmackel This is why I think this camera (T2i) is the game changer. The Bokeh that my HV30 with a DOF adapter creates is very unnatural. I am not complaining cause it is great that I can do that on a regular camcorder, but credit also has to go to having a high quality lens. Which you can real only do on a DSLR or high end video camera.

  • I've been posting interviews for 4 years your are totally ripping me off. While I was interviewing people you getting hundreds of views you were filming you Corgi. So yes your YouTube channel is older than mine but your copying my live interviewing POV. I do love the way you shot it and the way you focus in on each person after being out of focus.

  • great video now you are copying me.

  • @MarathonTrainingTV Bull-Schmidt! My Youtube Channel is way older than yours. ;)

  • hAVE U TRIED IT WITH THE 1.4 MODEL??

  • @ferni69 No - Save up for the 1.2

  • @tedmackel Let's be honest...do u think it the .2 diference would make such a difference??

  • @ferni69 It depends on what you want to do. Is this a hobby or something you are incorporating in your business?

There's a huge difference in price. I have a friend who's a professional photographer and she convinced me of the value of better lenses. If the budget is tight, then all you can do is get the 1.4. If you can hang on and save up, I think the value is there. If you have a local camera shop nearby, go down and have them set up the camera with both lenses.

  • @tedmackel dont get me wrong i can afford it, but I aint no proffesional...but want to be able to take good night pic/vid

  • @ferni69 I am right there with you. I went through the same mental gymnastics trying to figure out what to do. Since I already have the HV 30 and had a DOF adapter on there for almost a year, I already had an idea that the 1.2 would end up being the best way to go in the long run.

  • @tedmackel what to do what to do.....it's just some of the reviews say that the diff between the 1.2 and the 1.4 is not that much....Ilive in PR, down here they dont have those lenses....I really do apreciated

  • @ferni69 btw what were the settings for the vid...Just recived the 1.4...taking awesome pics...but apparently been talking to a few kids and the 1.2 is the bomb!

  • @ferni69 Your Shutter needs to be double the frame rate. The higher the frame rate the better for Slow mo, but if you are looking for a film look then stick with 24p on the frame rate.
