Doesn't anyone else see that this is the ultimate pop formula version of scrememocore? Instead of really extended breakdowns, they now actually serve a functional song purpose, as a transition between main parts of songs. The quiet, echoy guitar parts have been in this style for years, sometimes used as part of a verse structure, but very often the quiet parts would start in the middle of the song and crescendo to the end. Now this structure has been repurposed. Screamocore Disney-fied. Holy Fuk

How about instead of it reminds me of Paramore, it reminds me of Anavae.... The only thing this group might have in common with Paramore is the lead female singer. Her voice is all together different and their stage presence isn't remotely close to being the same.It's amazing how some people like to lump all female singers together. The on thing that might be like Paramore is that there is a female singing. They have a different stage presence and a different sound. There isn't a point in comparing bands. Each band always has a different style. I think most people just want to compare and downplay other front-women bands because they don't want their favorite band to be one-uped. There's no reason to prove that one band is better than another. It's about the music. If you like it, cool. If you don't, tough shit.

But she may just be their inspiration, so it's not always a bad thing to compare. Without inspiration from other bands, than new band wouldn't come along.
