On and tabla and pakhawaj. Film industry recording. at 2:07 I can see his signature bayan control patterns. and 2:37 and 3:33 laggis he used to play. Hand balance is Panditji for sure. I dont say 100% if im not sure. Check out Asha Bhosle "Sold Out" recording. She constantly appreciates Pandit Ramakantji Mhapsekar in song Nazar Laagi Raja". Saying Wa Ramkantji Wa. He was probably the most heard tabla player and his knowledge and tayyari kept him in this prime position until his mid to late 60s.
Pandit Ramakant Mhapsekarji of Mumbai. Classical tabla player who p[layed closed hand tabla and pakhawaj with authentic thaap. Reluctantly (coming from a strcit classical tradition) and by pestering of Vasant Desai he started with 1 film recording to cover for an absentee. From 1970s to late 1990s he was the favoured tabla player for Naushadji, Roshan, C Ramchandra,Khyaam, OP Nayar, Pandit Jitendra Abhisekhi, Kishori Amonkar, Laxmikant Pyaralal and the Mangeshkar family. For sure.
