It would have been nice if you had the whole episodes, especially from 1994 as very few episodes exist from Season 11 on the trading circuit. But I am hoping I will somehow manage to get at least the finals from the 1994 TOC sometime in the new year.
Can't. Over the years, I just montaged all these intros back-to-back, and threw away the rest except for what was, IMO, notable excerpts of players I had favoritism for. I never would've predicted there'd be a YouTube in a few short years where all videos would become treasure.
These montages were to be my database before there was ever a Windows PC. I was going to have a database that would've rivaled B. Dominy's J!Db, but once that one tourney didn't chyron the players winnings and the following year when champs didn't have their winnings recapped by Johnny, then I lost interest in saving montages as well as the show as a whole. I gave up on Jep! until Jennings, then gave up again until the UToC, and then gave up again and never tuned in since.
Me, too. Yes, except the low-pitched key. I heard the rhythm to this when I was little. On WoF, the theme music is similar to the Synth music from Disney movies.
Spot on. The producers and execs of the show pretty much gutted almost everything that made Jeopardy exciting (music, dollar figures beeping in for both rounds, blue to red color changes, etc).
My biggest pet peeve of all that ruined the energy and excitement of the opening of Jeopardy was Johnny Gilbert's announcement 'Now entering the studio are todays contestants..." and they each walk on. Today, they just stand there, having to plaster a fake smile on their face while they're announced.
I hate how they doubled the dollar figures and rank the post-doubled winners alongside the pre-doubled winners as if they all made the same exact $50K under the same circumstances. It's like ranking Trebek-era champions along Fleming-era champions.
@Surf951 I totally agree, although I still like to watch it today, and it's still a great game, it would be a lot better if they had kept it the old way with all the excitement it once had.
Interesting thing to note: Ryan Holznagel's games took place immediately before and after the 1994 ToC, so he had to wait a whole year before he got invited to the 1995 ToC.
Whoa Rachael Schwartz and Dave Hillinck battled in the Quarterfinals and faced off again in the Finals. Same with Ryan Holznagel and David Siegel. You left out one match from season 11. I think it's the one with Jean Grewe, Matt Morris, and Tom Nichols. Also, the season 12 match with Isaac Segal, Paul Thompson, and Jim Vercolen is missing.
All is forgiven! I just wonder how a person learns to do that? Writting a book? Any criticism on Today's Jeopardy is entirely welcome... In small doses, of course!

Isaac was also from New Jersey! (Cherry Hill)

I like how they did the first part of the 1984 intro into the 1991 intro, then to the 1991 main theme. That had a neat sound to it.

Unfortunately, it was very choppily edited.

1991-1996 still remains, IMO, the best era in Jeopardy history. Watching this makes me amazed/ashamed at how boring and lifeless Jeopardy's gotten.

@Surf951 I Disagree. Jeopardy, to me and to many, is still just as exciting!

David Siegel's total is not bad for second place and the same with Issac's total for third place.

It's also interesting for Ryan Holznagel to make these interesting wagers, especially going into "Final Jeopardy!" with $7911...lol...

With all due respect, please avoid capitalizing every word. It irks me more than pore spellarz, b@d typ!sts, and excessive emoticons >:P

Sorry. I don't even have the finale of the 10th tourney, but it was Rachael Schwartz if you're curious.
