i don't see why hyacinth didn't just tell the woman that they were going to the mayors fancy dress ball. it would have saved the woman thinking they were insane. i also didn't get why the people at the bus stop looked at them strangely. shouldn't everyone know about it.

Even though I hate Hyacinth with passion I suppose in this episode I just for once feel sorry for her because she got quite upset when she noticed people arriving wearing more or less the same kind of costume when her and Richard were at the fancy dress ball and when Richards car breaks down you do see that Hyacinth is kind of crying perhaps maybe because she doesn't like being seen pushing a car through what she maybe labels a very secluded area and then things get worse when Onslow shows up
