I ran across this because my daughter wants her septum done. She is 14 and already has a labret. With parent permission here in Alabama, US the age is 13. Without parent permission it is 18. I love your ears, especially when you run earrings through the gauges!

I stretched my lobes to 00g (9-10mm) with simply a barbell! Every couple of weeks, after my ears had stretched naturally on their own, I would wrap a layer of electrical tape around them. It wasn't painful AT ALL. If I couldn't get the newly wrapped barbell in my ear, I'd just take it off and wait another week! MUCH less painful than tapers. I'd used them before but gave up cause it hurt too bad!

How come you don't wear jewelery in your septum? I've had mine pierced for a little over a month now and I love it! I got it pierced with a retainer and just yester day I put in a diff ring, so you can actually see it better. I love it! I hope i am as lucky as you and my septum stays open!

@domianlx Hi Ben, It's not really a pretty sight without them in so wouldn't subject my viewers to that, lol:P It kind of scrunches up without the tunnel to prop it open fully but you can stull see straight through it. I only take it out for cleaning!

i had my nose pierced once and took it out when i had a reaction to the metal. i got it done a year later in the same spot through scar tissue. first time did not hurt. second time was very painful and bloody to say the least. only annoying thing about it is exfoliating face trying to get around piercing or putting makeup on nose.

i'd love to stretch my ears just a bit from the standard hole, but i tend to get cysts in my lobes that come and go, so i figure it's probably not the best idea for me.

I have 2 stretches in my lobes. 16mm & 6mm. My earlobes must be bigger than yours. I'm not going to go any bigger as it would distort my ears.

I just love the way it looks. And I'm not a young person. I'm 54. It just goes with my personal style.

Also got a navel and a septum. Just wear a retainer in my septum mostly.

I'm also a tattoo enthusiast. Big stuff. My art collection.

And I'm just an ordinary person. Working nurse, mother to 2 grown up kids.

Think it's more accepted nowadays.

The term gauges is WRONG. It's like saying "these are my ear millimetres". Gauge is the size NOT the process!!! You stretch your piercing to a bigger gauge, you do not gauge your piercing.

I've had five dermals, do not get dermals. They get really infected all the time. Everyone I know who's had dermals has gotten them removed. They're also really painful, and they DO leave a big scar. Your piercer will tell you they don't leave a scar, but I have the scars to prove that they definitely do.

How did you find the nipple piercings healed? And were they very painful to get done? I've been seriously thinking about getting mine done for awhile now but I'm still undecided.. I have quite a few piercings myself too and I haven't found any of them that painful, but I do cringe at the thought of getting them done tbh :D

Also, could you show some of your tattoos? From the odd glimpse of them that we get, they look beautiful! :)

I used to have my bottoms stretched out as well. I let them fill in for some reason and sadly miss them. I still can't wear small earrings or they fall through, so I could start stretching again but I hated the pain LOL.

I got rid of my septum as well...that is something I regret letting fill in, I could get it again too I suppose.

I love the ear tunnels, they are so neat.
