Seek and you shall find! I've never heard this!!!!! I am always amazed when I hear Dylan's demos with just guitar like he is in his basement, then I listen to them so much I start to like them better than recordings. Like "Idiot Wind" Of the 3 versions I know, they are all different songs, tho I LOVE the venom of the HARD RAIN version. Thanks for posting.
DYLAN & HIS GUITAR......ALWAYS AMAZING & EITHER SWEET OR GUT WRENCHING! Such a beautiful haunting song. No one will ever deliver this song like it's masterful creator. He's definitely wearing his heart on his sleeve in "Going, Going, Gone." What a great line (Dylan always the visionary) ALL THAT'S GOLD ISN'T MEANNT TO SHINE! A life lesson in this amazing song!
...beautiful, brilliant, amazing, great...my english vocabulatory is not adequate to this I think...anyway, I am glad I discovered it...thank you for posting...
This version is haunting. It's amazing how different he can make his own songs from the studio versions. I heard this unreleased version of "Idiot Wind" that was just
Beautiful..............Dylan ..............Always on the edge of something brillant!
From what I have heard a lot of his best versions of songs have been left off albums. So glad these gems surface. Who knows what all is out there? Bob has said himself, He's not sure of what all is still out there & is surprised to hear some of the gems. Pray the surprises keep coming. As his material continues to surface the music makes him even a more significant LEGEND.
Robbie Robertson's lead guitar audio is turned down, Richard Manuel's piano is off completely and no drums by Levon Helm. A completely different take from the album version.
@macmaghnusa Yeah, this is most certainly the album version with all the audio levels turned down except for Bob's vocals and guitar. It makes for an interesting listen.

I won't repeat all the praise though I share it all.
The singing is so swell and serves the text so well.
But, there may be more to say about that "place
where the willow don't bend".
If "It's the top of the end"
then the times have changed.
As ohiodixiechick2 said Bob himself is surprised
to see hatching new gems all the time.
As if oblivion was no more an option for anyone.
