@bondglitcher Pyraminx (in my opinion) is even easier than a rubik's cube, and a megaminx is way harder then a rubik's cube... that's what i think anyway.

u do the same thing as the last layer of the 3x3 except when u do u r u' l' u r' u' l, the "l" and the "l'" is another side over, so according to ur megaminx, i think u were solving the purple side last, so if blue was the normal left then u would use orange.

the last layer of the megaminx is pretty much the same thing as solving the last layer to a regular 3x3x3. just have 5 sides instead of 4, but the algorithyms work just the same

Haha Thrawst... If you use commutators it's EASY to solve! Just don't try to use your regular PLL algs, and go for some 3-cycle commutator style algs.

You can't do A perms per se for the corners. Check out Ryosuke Mondo's video on corners. I solved mine within about an hour or so, but, I didn't solve it Fridrich method, I used beginners method for the last layer (with some easily modified algorithms), and Fridrich for the F2L and S2L.

hehe, i was doin the same thing a few days ago, i got stuck on the last layer for a while too. i realized that i could just use beginners method last layer, dan brown type stuff. That worked. it just took a while to try to see what certain 3x3x3 moves did to it

i was able to solve my megaminx after 2 hours of opening it. you just have to use the other method of the 3x3 cube for the top layer to solve the megaminx. if you know that method try implimenting that for the last layer.

On the last layer, get the edges oriented and permuted first, then fix the corners. Permute the corners the orient them.

my first megaminx solve took 3 days but now I can get 10 min. it`s confusing because when soling the last cross (star) when there`s only one edge facing the right way, it counts as just the dot and 3 beside each other is the L, ect. and when you solve the edges, you have to do a U3 instead of a U2 and stuff like that.
