In that particular place the fish were scarce, but in general Madeira has a lot of good places and many good fish. 8000 spearfishers out of a population of 300.000 means business. Ofcourse there is longer between the really big fish but they show sometimes. Madeira is a Portugese island in the Atlantic due west from Marokko and north of the Canary Islands. Nice.

I also spearfish in Madeira...and yeah thats prety much it... realy deep, desert bottom, no fish!
