Jackiej61too BECIR - o.k. everybody knows that I love this song and so does, one and all.
I've tried every piano size and I still can't sing anyhere in the mind, melody and harmony - that is mine. Yes,it's mine. How did he do that? And I can't? I'm leaving for the library in a few minutes. Phone. Right. (tongue swirl) "Are you lonesometonight?" Just kidding.

@zthetha as far as i know it was indeed James Burton. He had his road band for these sessions. They were hard sessions as Elvis was deeply depressed and distracted. But even then his talent of telling a tale with his voice did not leave him. RIP Elvis.
sure, I agree "his songs are telling some stories"...Elvis has the talent to modify and beautify every songs. He injected a great passion and feeling into each song.
@jordan8800 It's was said that after the movie contracts expired Elvis to the coronal that he would never again sing a song that he "did not believe in".
After the initial stop of my heart from the very first picture in this video, I love this song. Nobody does it like, Elvis. Always the King, always my love, always the Man, there'll NEVER be another like him, or even close. That's why your name is forever etched up my inner arm.
Hi there, Elvis' fans!!! I love this song. I love Elvis. I've also covered it with my voice. I also want to dedicate my performances to you - Lisa Presley. Please, click on elvisbycarlos to watch it. thanks.
So many people focus on the Elvis big hits but these songs are pure gems ... his voice and way of expressing and putting feeling and emotion into his songs is like telling a story ... there was definetly a rebirth in his music in the 1976 graceland recordings and i think musically he may have had more chart and hit success had he lived ..
Written by Leon Rose. Elvis recorded it February 8, 1976 at Graceland. It is available on From Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, Tennessee, Forgotten Songs of the 70s, and Moody Blue.
I always loved this country song a whole lot. I think that Willie Nelson was the first person to ever record this song. I'm so very glad that Elvis decided to record it too. I love Elvis' rendition of it a lot too. All of the music that Elvis recorded in 1976 at the Jungle Room was absolutely perfect. Thanks a whole lot for making and uploading this video, 10 Stars as always Jackie. I love all of your Elvis videos a whole lot.

Willie Nelson sings it with more emotion, having heard them both, prefer WN version. Not discounting Elvis, he is... well, The King!

@2110Shaggy Willie Nelson sings with as much emotion as a person who's never experienced any tragedy in his life.

The last song Elvis performed in private was a rendition of "Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain," done on his piano in Graceland hours before his death.
