I used to walk my cat without a leash daily. She loved it, and would always stay at my heels unless I told her "lead me." Then she would run up about 10 yards ahead of me and wait until I caught up. She just died last week at 18 and enjoyed those walks until the end. I'm going to miss her.

Thank you for your thoughts. Her name was Chelsey. Her kidneys failed. But she had a good life and was a good companion. I still miss her.
