On 1st January '89, Astra began it's operations on the lattitude of 19.2 E, whilst in Puerto Rico by 1996, AlphaStar began operating in the U.S. as the island's first satellite TV System before in 1997 dissapeared and EchoStar launches it's own satellite and Dish Network was born. like it is today
Astra isn't as good now as it used to be;Skydigital seems to dominate 28.2degE and you don't get European channels at 28.2degE as you did at 19degE that's what made Astra interesting viewing, seeing other European countries television.
4 of the 5 satelites at 28.2 are astra, I think you are getting confused, the satelites belong to astra, sky pay astra to broadcast their programming, the uk moved to its own orbital slot so it could provide more channels
Man, I used to watch this over and over when my parents first got analogue SKY tv back in 1990. I thought this video and the music was well cool. It's good to see it again!
i remember the clip you mean anonYmous17 i don't have it though i remember the broadcast on channel 30 of astra 1b we used to have that box ourselves.
hey do you also have footage of astra like from 1993-1995 or so? I remember watching something like this long, LONG ago and they showed the planets and rockets and played some classic piece! Vivaldi or so.
i hope someday find this clip in better quality! is anyone knows this fucking good song plays in 3.34 ?
