A friend of mine had the last combo of the LP12 (Ekos se, Urika+ Dynavector XX2 mk2)
I 'll hear it in a few days.
I think the next upgrade for me is the lingo. I like the "boomy" sound of the Ittok and pre circused LP12 combo...
I had an Asak wich is a wonderfull cartridge. Unfortunatly i broke the stylus during a wrong manipulation... The Troika is certainly a great cartridge , but the Benz micro Glider is very good too...
Charlie Haden the jazz musician used to tune his instrument with his SBL's so if they're good for him, how can the average home listener be critical? Well, a guy from Israel about 4 years ago bought my SBL's to use them as back channel speakers on his HT. I used them active and passive. I had some memorable listening sessions but overall for slightly more over the resale value there're much better alternatives.
I know baby-coffin SBL's have their devoted fans. If the listener is convinced flat-earth is the only way to listen recorded music there's no further discussion. IMHO Naim never built good enough speakers to match their gear. Case in point J. Vereker at home listened to ESL-57's. His speaker designer LaMotte was building a Naim electrostat when JV passed away and LaMotte left the company. Only thing I liked about SBL's is their shipping cartons .. just kidding.
Nice sound. My setup is similar. I owned SBL's for about 8 years. Best upgrade I ever did was to replace them. Any other non-Naim speaker will bring out back-end's true potential. Doesn't have to be expensive. Vintage Klipsch Forte1 or Forte2 under $1K with custom external x-overs (conservatively another $1K) will run circles around SBL's. Don't upgrade with anything from Bob Crites. All you need is redesigned x-over from al_K@alkeng.com - design & BOM is free. Open to experiment :-)
nice and quality products that purely manufactured in england . unlike these days that england components but made in china and other asian countries so that they can make the price competitives
Dig the song! cheers.

try the Ekos arm with Lingo PSU and if you can find one add the troika cartridge.
