  • jeesus this song when i found it whilst watching kids and put it on my ipod, just turned out it is my most played song. Its fucking amazing, pure ill 90's east coast, perfect blend of chilled and RAW shit, so ill. shame this generation of teenager have assy music, im maad jelause of those growing up in the 90's as a teen, my teens have to endure all this fucking lame woman music (beyonce and lady gaga ass with fucking crustations on her shoulder)

  • @StefanRouach198198 right there with u ma nigga

  • @StefanRouach198198 HAHAHAHAHA that is sooooo funny! i agree with you tho and i am a woman....WHO LOVES REAL HIP HOP! its funny i was watching sinbad's stand up and he was saying who is our generation gonna listen to when we are older???? its a scary ass thought thats for sure.

  • @Lockawannablu3z exactly. I feel sorry for women too, like i loved the soulful shit like brandy and TLC ya know those women were respectable and made really good music, but now you have beyonce (who was good at one time) and lady gaga, Kesha and all those sluts fucking lapdancing in videos. Im not gay or anything and I like to see that, but its too much. especially how teenage girls my age are modelling themselves after them dressing all slutty. Its hard to find a real girl nowerdays...

  • @StefanRouach198198 YO. its impossible to find a REAL girl, fuck.

  • @StefanRouach198198 lol i agree....hopefully hip hop can be ressurected. J Dilla was on the job but.....we all know that story. Flying Lotus is my boy though...I think he's doing a great job with carrying the baton. oh and another good one who is realllll lowkey is an artist named Afta-1....DOPE....check em out.

  • DAAAAMMMN BUCKSHOT!

  • probably the best hip hop song ever

  • @subsypher imo....the best hip hop song ever would be iron galaxy by cannibal ox

  • @xavicivic great selection. i make a case for aesop rock's daylight to hang right there next with iron galaxy though.

  • @thelmnop WoW....damn good song! yo peep "queen's gambit" by GZA and "i gave you power" by NaS...both amazing songs

  • anyone catch the atomic dog sample

  • don't catch it, what part of the song please?

  • was this video actually directed by spike?

  • RaP now id dead!!

  • Which Crooklyn Dodgers was the best?

'94 - Buckshot, Masta Ace, Special Ed

'95 - Chubb Rock, Jeru The Damaja, O.C.

'07 - Jean Grae, Mos Def, Memphis Bleek

  • ´94 is the best, hands down. Brooklyns Dream Team. I miss those times.

´95 was good too, thanks to the chubbster and jeru.

  • classic

  • "The first group was composed of Buckshot, Masta Ace, and Special Ed. Their one and only record was "Crooklyn," produced by A Tribe Called Quest, and featured in the 1994 film Crooklyn."

    discogs & wikipedia

the scratches aren't on this don't sound like premiers at all, his are much more distinct. the snare on this is the one that tribe always uses.

  • just looked it up and tribe produced it. tribe production is brilliant... this is classic

  • Dude! it was produced by the great DJ Premier from Gangstarr, the scratches are his trademark!...you man make feel old! LOL!

The scratches comes from The Place Where We Dwell from the Daily Operations album. Know your history people, it was a great time to love hip hop!

  • no he produce part two... but this one was made by my boy tip from that famous tribe... why do you think masta ace says can i flip??? And Qtip Says yes you can!!!

  • "Now what's left when they're ain't no God, and a whole lotta pride, it might be a homicide" Is the line dumbass.

  • "If it aint no God therey'll be a homicide". Now that's TRUE spittin. Sayin something that relates to reality, that's spittin. That east coast accent what makes them unique.

  • Im blessed to be a 90's kid growing up during the Golden Age of Hip Hop!! Much Respect!!

  • Yep. Thinkin the same thing. Hip Hop was crazy back then. It was a culture. Now it's all about pop music. There were so many great MC's back then. And you'd see these dudes ON THE STREETS, not just on TV. 1988 to the mid-90's was and still is the equivalent of the classic rock era of the mid-60's to about 1971. Both are CLASSIC.

  • well said

  • You lucky ones -.-. Being 13 in this generation sucks. Must've been great growing up to real rap.

  • Oh yes it was a great era of rap. But dont worry im only 23 now, so i was only 8 years old when this came out

  • nah ace nice but buck killed it.

  • watch Crooklyn the movie.if you havent seen it . some of yall no nothing about that. spike lee joint.

  • lets be honest, crooklyn was whack.. watch clockers if you wanna scope lee's directorial genius.

the only flaw spike has is his extremely poor choice of screen-composers. the o.s.t's are all dope though.. makes you think, if he had his way the tone of both movies would be vastly different.

  • r u serious?you gotta be from bk to understand. i seen clockers a million times. some of us can relate to that movie and some of you cant. thats all.

  • yeah no doubt, to each his own i guess.

  • This shit is amazing, straight up. Man, the poison they are pushing on the air waves these days is a fucking atrocity. The underground has got to rise up again.

  • Special Ed's verse is so ill
