Great movie and wondering if anybody knows more about the script I mean the reason they chose this paticular season and State match up was because the of the Permian player Booby Miles ? My highschool Port Neches Groves Indians played them for AAAAA State

championship in 1975 which Permiman lost also.Wondering if this was going to be "THE"

script only or if other highschools that played them in State were approached about

the movie ??? Anyone know ???
