And ALL of arable land in Koryo is w/ South. In North there is industry. Only 14 pc of DPRK is arable. Google zindabad. USSR traded food 2 DPRK in exchange for COAL. It was DPR friendly price. So DPR rationed food. USSR collapse. China asks4 upfront cash payment for food !

and I HAVE been to DPR as DPR friendly country member. India is both friendly 2 both countries.- in my modest town we do have a South Korean industry sponsored Korean Affairs library and we have a Juche Study centre 1/2 km across which is sponsor by DPRK. So travel / business deals etc,. is not too restric for bth Koreas for us.

I think they finally officially asked for food because even elite people must be going hungry so we probably shouldn't help them but i dunno.
