There's an easier way to do this.. And it looks way better; I know you said your's were only like that because you were holding a camera, but it'd still look pretty bad with just lasso, try using the the Section Tool > Ellipse.. So much more nice looking.

wouldn't it be easier if you duplicate the picture then just use the brush tool and make that squiggly line [over it] and do all of that.then when your done you just copy the parts you dont want the beam over [[on the other picture that you didnt do anything on]] and match it where it goes on the other picture.

thats how i do mine.

and it works the same way but only the way you do it is sucky!
