  • I remember (in Los Angeles, 1974) ditching a class in High School to listen to John Lennon as a 'special guest' DJ on a popular pop/rock radio station...he was living in L.A. at the time...separated from Yoko. He was SO FUNNY I was so glad I ditched class to hear him! He told a young caller on her way to school to "be sure to bring your teacher an apple...one with a little green worm in it.... Miss you, John

  • john lennon could also have made a good living being a comedian, and would have been very successful too. what a naturally funny guy. precious!

john's face when someone throws paper at him

    John: RIGHT!

  • lOl i love how john is acting like a smartass and then him and george start throwing stuff at each other and the reporter walks away :) i looove them so muchh!! <3

  • uh.... thats funny???

  • Can someone write, what they talk?

  • @ogreboy608 @ogreboy608 i can try =)

    part 1:

reporter (short: r): welcome to john also from liverpool.

in fact you are the first from liverpool i've ever seen.

john(who calls himself john jagger at that press conference): great.

r: but your first book sold in 350000 copies and came out this year. is that right?

    john: THAT'S RIGHT.

r: that's right, and tell me, you brought 3 of your friends. could you please introduce them?

john: yes, there's george parasol, ringo stone and paul mccharmly.

  • @ogreboy608 part 2:

r: and did they have anything to do with your book? did they help you, did they hinder you in any way?

j: no, they typed it out for me.

r: that's right, i mean, they can spell and you..?

    j: they spell very greatly.

r: that's right. by the way: i've read a review about it in times literary (..?) and then i read the book as i started to wonder: are you influenced by thurber or james joyce?

    j: none of them.

    r: non of them

    george(?): james stewart.

  • @ogreboy608 part3:

    r: james stewart?

j: james stewart and betty grable.

r: yeah and then i'm quite sure that our swedish viewers would like to hear you read one of your poems..

j: RIGHT. HE DOG NIGEL...ARF ARF HE GOES A MERRY SIGHT...OUR LITTLE HAIRY FRIEND...ARF ARF UPON THE LAMP-POST BRIGHT...I'VE BEEN ROUND THE BEND

George: hey, don't like that. this .. this one's better.

    j: is that better?

    g: look...

and the rest is swedish ;-)

  • its "Arfing round the bend"

  • @NonStopRocker oi, thank you! that's a little embarrassing for me, cause i actually have his book :S

but thanks for correcting me ;-)

  • such a typical swedish accent...

  • :50

  • ...would like to hear one of your poems-

    RIGHT!

  • i want that freaking book!

  • @gradsssara I found one at Barnes and Noble. You could probably get one from there. Amazon has it as well.

  • @Tabbykitten7 i am

i am getting the book on amazon

  • @MrAndrewjs if you weren't sure why i said "acid" then maybe you should have asked. your initial response was certainly not "calm", nor was it helpful or educational in any way. maybe that's why you removed it and wrote a more rational response for the next comment, for which i thank you.

  • I lose it every time that piece of paper hits him. haha

  • Is there any doubt that the walrus was JOHN. Not taking anything from the brilliant Paul, but In interview after interview you see how the other three followed John's lead happily. Once Paul began to try to take over that role it led to problems. Some people are just meant to lead, like John. Paul was meant to be what he was-- a brilliant writer, singer and musician within the band. This is all just my opinion, based on studying the Beatles

  • @kirbygene I think Paul took over the role of group leader only out of neccessity to keep the band going, espescially after Epstein died. John had become a bit disinterested in the group when he met Yoko plus his increased drug use didn't help either.

  • @rodneyracoon You are 100% correct. Paul HAD to assume the role for the reasons you gave. My only point was that John led naturally. Paul struggled with that role, & because of his lack of leadership skills he tended to get "bossy". Again, it's just an opinion, but based on the way George & Ringo reacted with John and the way they reacted to Paul. I hope this isn't sounding like a Paul vs. John thing.

  • Lennon was paranoid by nature, and his heroin addicttion pretty much killed the group.. McCartney took over leadership out of neccessity.

  • @vgr112261 He never did heroin dumbshit

  • @Beatles64JL Cetainly he did, he and Yoko were both on it. What do you think the song Cold Turkey was about? Do some research before you call people names.

  • @rodneyracoon Acid, he stopped taking it in '74 to become a "family man" and he thought it was about time after Yoko allowed him to have an affair with one of Yoko's friends.

  • LOL- "They typed it out for me. They spell very greatly."

  • mr. and mrs. stoned

  • It just made me smile to hear John freaking Lennon reading my favorite poem of his.

  • Ahhh Johns just screwing with him!

  • The way he looks at the camera :D

  • big headed gits

  • I like how John will actually go out of his way to make interviews awkward for everyone BUT him and the others.

  • "...And Paul McCharmly!" You got that right!

  • xD I love their laughter at 0:58

  • "Will you read us one of your poems?"

*pulls out book at unnatural speed* "Right!"

  • I meant to say most Bands! x)

  • You can se they were the type of Band, that when the were bored at an Interview or

find it Stupid, they could make fun Without using Bad Words (cursing) like that,

Like most fans would do in this Years act like asholes and Jerks!

John can pull the "Innocent Bonehead", if Nardwuar exist in the 60's and could

interview The Bealtes, John and the Boys would had an Awsome Laugh with him!

    xD

  • OMG :52 that face!!! ahahaha

  • @LostCityisaBand I think that's his "this guy is so f*king pretentious" face

  • @1982pencil haha yeah :D

  • I'M a french canadian could someone tell me how he calls george and ringo I only heard paul mccharmly lol

  • @GraphicalDusso He said: George Parisol, Ringo Stone. Oh John XD

  • 0:15 did someone throw sometin at him

  • @sk8erdude70 Hahaha yeah someone's throwing paper at him and then a little later he picks it up and throws it at himself XD

  • I love George's voice when he says "This one's better!"

  • I can see John was freaked out by that interviewer^^"Why the fuck is he behind my back"

  • 14 people can't spell very greatly

  • I love the Beatles, they were always cracking jokes, and there's lots of footage of them randomly breaking out into fights.

  • 0:18 "Yes, there's George Parasol, Ringo Stone, and Paul McChombley." Ha I love John's randomness!

  • John was fucking hilarious. I love seeing the boys messing around, they're all adorable (:

  • Not only the greatest band of all time, but their interviews were classic as well !!

  • we should all be this fun to be around, the world would be a better place!

  • Gotta love the interviewer's english with that wide swedish accent!

  • @locriansrevenge Yea.....A popcorn XD XD

  • 0:45 john threw popcorn at his own face.

  • i love john's random face expressions. (:

  • There is no other band or artist on this planet with these charisma, humor and BIG talent for songwriting .

Sometimes I think THEY are something like a mythical creature coming from another dimension :-)

  • he's baked

  • LOL When John says "Great" what he means is "STFU bitch."

  • @locriansrevenge popcorn

  • They come across as a couple of adolescent assholes.

  • Hi...

Is there anyone that know the year of this interview ??

    'Cause I don't think 1964...Am I wrong?

    Thanks

  • The face at 0:52

  • john was fucking tripping balls here. jesus.

  • What the hell is Liverpoolska?!

  • @tomasdejong It's "Liverpool" in swedish haha

  • @MrAndrewjs Just lots of speed and alcohol ! The norm for then. You play 4 shows a night in a sweaty underground club.... well, as Lennon said, "Hither here and where to fore." ;-)

  • I like how the hosts' accent makes this seem more like an investigation than an interview.

  • I'm making a facebook page for george parisol <3 lmao

  • george parisol, ringo stone and paul mccharmly

  • é um maravilhoso mesmo esse John

  • @MrAndrewjs please stop trolling and name calling. thanks.

btw, dylan did not introduce them to LSD. not sure why you thought that.

  • @movitmovit True. Dylan introduced them to pot in 1965. John and George's dentist introduced them to acid.

  • @roostr20 I think cause he said he basically got his influence from James Stewart (an actor) and Betty Grable (a dancer) so he made an "oh-shit-can't-believe-I-got-away-with-that" face.

    Just a guess.

  • @CiG801 Lol, Yeah.
