  • Haha that motherfucker sold Matco Tools lol

  • when did our society go pro-crime and anti-cop shouldnt it be the other way around

  • Man I love our state police, sure they can get a little impersonal, but most of these guys would give they're life for you. As for the dog, very sad.

  • the cops should have shot him in the leg to down him then the k9 wouldnt have been shot

  • its a shame no police died that day

  • I also remember when this happened. How upsetting this was that the police parked in his driveway where they could be seen! This man was the prime suspect in a teens abduction, kidnap and suspected murder. I f the police had not been in plain view as this man returned home from work, and were able to take him into custody answers to many questions may have been answered in this girls disappearance.

Thank god this little girl got away from him before he came home from work!

  • God, i´m so glad, that the most civilists here in Germany don´t have rifles and guns and some of thet bad things.

I don´t like the Cops, but when a Cop is shooting down, thats a bad thing. Hope the bad buy had a very painful dead.......

  • The US Supreme Court has held that cops do NOT have a duty to protect!!!

South v. Maryland, 59 U.S. (How.) 396, 15 L.Ed.433 (1856) (the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that local law-enforcement had no duty to protect individuals, but only a general duty to enforce the laws. Wakey wakey people cops are revenue agents only!

  • @justaman6972 and your point is??? you take one line about a cops belief and turn it into an argument, thats how these conversations on youtube go off onto pointless tangents.

i like how you reference supreme court rulings by the way, just shows how big of a douche you are.

now go watch some "police brutality" videos and make smart ass comments.

  • @justaman6972 you are so full of shit......enforce the laws IS protecting people.....DUH!

  • Wow. If the bad guy had had ten or twenty spike strips in that truck, he could have really gotten the advantage. Also, if he had had a few loaded .308 rifles, he could have punched a bunch of holes in them from the distance.

  • @libertarianjury hahaha just like that huh?

  • This is sad story...the cop is still alive.

  • no reason to block that word out everyone knows thats a mac tools truck.

  • mac tools hell yea

  • Poor dog. Good work during the past dog.....

  • @ontariodrome yeah, poor dog.........i guess the dog had a chance if he wasn't enslaved by your beloved police officers. fuck you.

  • I lived in Idaho Falls for a long time. I am now serving with the Army in Germany. But I wanted to give my thanks to BCSO, ISP and IFPD. Good job guys!

  • I lived in Idaho Falls for a long time. I never had any problems whatsoever with the BCSO, IFPD or ISP.

Anyway, good job guys! Too bad we could all tell that the truck belonged to Mac Tools. Oh well.

  • i hate when people talk shit about cops cuz when u need them u call them for help when ur life is in danger and u call them for help u also put their life in danger idiots

  • Put youself in harms way because you want to have more power and rights than other people.

  • What's the matter with you?

  • some people like to talk shit about cops but when u need help there u are calling 911 do u ever think about their life being in danger when people call them for help

  • r.i.p. rex. :( brave dog.

  • I pray that I never hear a call over the radio of "officer down." The only part that can give me any comfort is that every department in the state will empty out to come save one of their own.

  • shame a good dog had to die over another pice of worhtless shit.

  • Shame on the death of the K9- no concerns on the death of the runner

  • Does anyone know what part of Idaho Falls this pursuit was in? I grew up in Shelley Idaho and was in Idaho Falls all the time.

  • From what I could tell it was the road that goes past Heise Hot Springs and Kelly Canyon ski resort.

  • who the fuck takes a mac tool truck as a get away car?!?

  • pore puppy!

  • You people that are saying its the Cops fault for sending the dog to take the guy down. What the hell is wrong with you people. This guy was a murderer. When police tell you to stop you stop and get down. But no...dipshit got his ass killed and deservingly so!

  • i've never had problems with Police.

when people get an attitude that's when it happens. I think we'd have less problems if they'd pay them more. The news media never shows them in a good light either.

  • usually i would disagree with the cops (cuz i personally dont like schiffler) but on this occasion that dude kidnapped a girl n chained her in his basement n she broke out n called the cops its good shit that they shot that bitch

  • it should happen more

    (possibly)

  • FUCK HIM!!! if he didn't ran from the cops they wouldn't send the dog to catch him. i'm glad that he was killed, the only thing that went wrong was the k9 death and the cop being shot

  • bullets are cheap.

  • Don't run and the dog wont eat you. But then again if you have the worries of being convicted of homicide, you'll do anything to get away. I don't feel sorry for this guy whatsoever, police did nothing wrong, and took a bullet to bring justice. Commendable of the police.

  • listen to the words from 5:00 to the end

    (True)

  • Stupid cops they released that K9 on the suspect as an excuse to shoot the suspect..._I completely disagree with the use of K9s, its like using animals to hurt the suspect forcing the suspect to use his gun as a defence so that the suspect can get shot...what if the suspect has some health problems? How will you feel if you were the suspect and a dog was being sent to attack you by those silly cops, you will definitely want to defend yourself from the dog isn't it?

  • good point. it is stupid to sent dogs to attack the suspect, would anyone just lie still and let a dog maul them?? but the cops shoot you if you resist the "officer"

  • I don't really care what his health problems were. This missed the part that he kidnapped and brutality rapped a 10 year old girl and killed at least one other that her body has never been found..... 9 cent bullet was too much to use on him.

  • a 14 year old girl n they think he is the 1 who killed Amber Hoopes the reason 4 the amber alert

  • the AMBER alert is named for America's Mission Broadcast Emergency Responce. and it was originally named after Amber Hagerman of Arlington Texas Who is Amber Hoopes?

  • Indeed, but you must remain loyal to the fact it is not up to police to inflict punishment or determine who is or isn't guilty when making an aprehention. That is a job for the courts.

  • They did not inflict punishment for previous crimes. They inflicted self-defense because he was shooting at them, and hit one of them. And that IS their right.

  • Looks like the cops shot their own dog - but how can you blame a guy for shooting a dog with his jaws on him? Cops seem a little trigger happy while doing their job, while the suspect only pulled when attacked.

  • Why was he kidnapping!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

  • im glad this guy died!! he shot an officer and a police k9 so that guy should have had a 12gauge to the head

  • I feel bad for the dog and the dog only

  • Just an update for all..

I won't get into details here but Todd Raymond is still doing great and happy.

He is one of the best people I have ever met, a true inspiration, and one hell of a friend.

  • God bless every officer (human and canine!) who works every day to keep us safe! My prayers are with you!

  • I use to work with this guys mom and brother and he was a real ass and deserved what he got!

  • that cop (t. raymond) arrested me. he's a cool cop, im glad he didnt shoot me!!!!

  • haha, Todd does not have a mean bone in his body.

  • wow i've lived in idaho for almost twenty years and i had no idea this ever happened. i go camping up by kelly canyon a lot so that was familiar...CRAZY!

  • Hey there. I lived near arco for 4 years. I know right where Kelley Canyon is. We used to go up there to Ski.

  • this is so sad. i love dogs

  • I live there. That road up by the ski area is really winding and narrow.

  • maishley the criminal shot the dog and the officer i think we need to show more respect to the officers and their canines cuz of them trying to make the world where we live in better, without them this world would be fucked up when its already is, and for the dog that made cry when they said canine down thats soo sad. :(

  • The Cops will ALWAYS win!

  • most of the time

  • I remember when this happened. RIP RIK. I am glad the officers made it out alive. Its a dangerous job but we need them. its sad that so many people have lost respect for police.

  • He was a very bad dude. It's too bad he was killed because he left more behind. It would have been nice to be able to find out more of what he knew but he took it to the grave. I commend the officers though because he was a sick and twisted man. The world is better off without him.

  • RIP Officer Rik

  • I agree with you jben. I know this guys mom and brother and what he put them through is not right. Because he died, we will never know for sure if he is the one who killed Amber Hoops.

  • i totally remember that the girl was one of my old friends older sister crazy im glad she got away

  • Who shot the dog? was it the criminal, or did the other cops accidentally do it?

    How sad.

  • those guys were so stoked to use there guns you can tell in there voices when they were like yeah his body like totally crumpuled man

  • I suspect that as they said...they were probably pretty pleased to realise that they had survived a dangerous confrontation and would be going home from work that day. There's little satisfaction in shooting someone dead when you're a cop.

  • wifeofacop, i commend you. iknow it takes a lot to be supportive. i know i appreciate my wife. Shes been doing it for 19 years

  • what did the criminal do that he had to run?

  • If you want to know what he did contact bonneville county sheriff ( he kidnapped & assaulted a young girl) the same day elizabeth smart was kidnapped... He deserved much more than he got.

  • I am working on an art piece for fallen officers in Idaho and I have added "RIK" in the piece. Check it out on myspace search jorge padron. Click on the PICS section of my page then click on the album named WORK IN PROGRESS.

  • The K-9's name was "Rik."

  • To prodigy0f8, All the officers involved did what they were called to do, including the K-9. As the wife of a K-9 handler, you are clueless! I commend 366, 375, and 357. Whether you are flying high in the sky, share the same state or just down the road. We love you and we will not forget the sacrifices you made that day.

  • you cannot give human virtues to an animal, it was just doing what it does and was ignorant to the danger facing it

  • these animals are differt they are trained to help humnans their not dumb. their consider an officer we've thow their not humnan their an officer so show some repespt

  • Police dog got a fitting funeral. I was downtown along the street when the procession went by... darn near every police and sheriff's car in the county in the procession with lights and sirens going. In Idaho Falls this brave dog is remembered.

  • Does anybody know the k-9's name?

  • At least the Dog had a Warriors Death

  • Those Crown Vics are great fo this kind of pursuit.....I wish it would never happen though

  • i agree, good cops, good dog, shame the dog died, and hope the sarge gets well.

  • Video never says who shot the dog or the officer? I'm assuming it was the suspect, but does anyone know? It sounds like "suicide by cop." Eleven percent of all police officer involved shootings are "suicide by cop." I'm thinking the guy in the video wanted to die. He didn't run from the cops. What are the odds her wanted them to take his life?

  • It was the suspect

  • Great Dog, and great handler, I hear him saying, "i didnt see a gun in his hand so i send the dog" True love, a shame it went bad.

  • You never want to hear "Officer Down", that is the biggest fear of any Law Enforcement aganecy to hear. That is why I respect Officers, Deputies, Troopers, and even K-9's. Much love for these guys/

    THANKS...

LAPD- TO PROTECT AND TO SERVE.

  • well said...even though they have pulled me over 4 times for speeding!!! **they are doing there job** keep up the good work guys,,,i feel sad for the dog.

  • Ditto montanatexasflorida!! As a native Idahoan Amen to that!!!!

  • i hope them cops got medals and the dog got a wel deserved funeral wel done cops and k9

  • police and military dogs are heroes

  • ive been to this road!!

  • I hate to say it , but the dog did what it was supposed to do. Going in before it's master to keep him safer, to bad it was killed.

  • well put. Dogs are expendable investments in Police Forces to protect their officers. The dog deserves the same honor though as any police officer, as it serves in a courageous line of duty as well.

  • good that guy needed to die!

  • Way to go IDAHO!

  • That's a damn shame about the dog. Damn shame.... :-(

  • Good boy keeping that bad guy from going into the woods and getting the advantage. I hope Sarge recovered nicely.

  • What, no comments? Heroes every one of them, includig the poor dog. Hope they all got medals and the dog a police funeral.
