as much as i love the new ctrl, they dont bloody hit 167/186 near ashford.. between maidstone and ashford its about 120 mph by the looks of it.. i can tell you this by the fact my dad was doing 120 and we were level with it most of the way from juntion 9-8 on the m20 lol

it is 300kph or 186mph beacause i have been on Eurostar with a speed Checker and the top speed was 186mph

Speeds as follows: -

ET to Mersham 300kmh

Mersham to Lenham 270kmh (inc Ashford flyover)

Lenham to Cobham 300kmh

Cobham to Singlewell 270kmh

Singlewell to London end of London Tunnel 1 230kmh

St Pancras Throat 80kmh dropping to 40 at Regents Canel Junct then 40 into platform with a 15kmh KVB beacon on final approach to buffer stops

That is 100% correct, though it is not very easy to see the difference between 270Km/h & 300Km/h. Eurostars are actually timed to run over the 300Km/h areas at 270Km/h which allows for some minor make up on late running
