The song is called "Miles Apart" and was a single released by the band "Mega City Four" in the late '80's. This version is by Andy Cairns from the band "Therapy?" who performed it at a tribute gig in March. The gig was in memory of the Mega's lead singer, Wiz, who died last year.
I saw Therapy? up in Inverness last summer which was the first time I had seen them for 11 years! They were brilliant, and i loved the fact that they enjoyed playing all the old songs too :).
But yes, I know exactly what you mean about how the night was so great, but at the same time so sad :(. But it was a fitting tribute evening and I enjoyed it immensely!
I was at that gig too. They were amazing. Nearly had my hand broken though as I was right against the barrier, but it was totally worth it. I can't wait for the new album.
Andy is a great entertainer. This looks like it was a great night, although under sad circumstances.
Thanks for posting this.
Huge Therapy? fan and got into Mega City Four because I saw this. RIP Wiz - great loss to music.

All around me people were singing this, the first Megas single, when Andy played this, and probably a few were, like him, in tears at the end.
RIP Wiz

Was a wonderful night in some ways, so sad in others. Good to see Cairns again tho, been too long since I last saw Therapy?

Thought Andy did a spiffing set. Les from Carter was at the side singing along when this was being played.
