  • @goog2k how did you forget Newt?

  • um.... wow fox

and if being a buddust makes him stop fucking countless women isnt that good too? and what if christianity helps him stop too? I dont care what religion he follows so long as it helps him straighten things out in his life. youll never meet the guy so why do you care?

  • It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. There is no redemption for Tiger Woods unless he was chosen from before time to be one of God's elect. Most "Christians" and adherents of other good works religions will perish in their sins right along with atheists, both rich and poor.

  • @dimstar4now, there is no God, only Santa...

  • Fox News... official "news" organization of the Religious Right/Republican Party.

  • Freenetnow, I guess this unbelievably ignorant and smug Brit Hume forgot about Christian Governor Mark Sanford, and Senators John Ensign, David Vitter, and Larry Craig. In fact, arent most philandering American athletes, professed Christians??

Then again, what about the Christian ministers Jimmy Swaggart and Ted Haggard? Maybe they can save Tiger???

    Duhh???

    Typical FOX News.

  • The Buddha said that human suffer endlessly due to greed, anger and delusion

We're not perfect, that's why we still make mistakes. Only the Buddha, who is fully enlightened, will not make mistakes.

  • Brit Hume is a white nigger.

He thinks he is heaven bound, he is going to hell for sure, his son death is god's way of punished him.

  • My word! You need to look at your own heart.

Brit is free to express his faith, and you are free to express your hate.

But by your words we know you.

  • Comment removed

  • All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God we can only be in right standing with God through Christ thanks Britt for your words to Tiger. I am praying that God will heal his marriage for Christ sake.

  • For the latest on fundamentalist Christian forgiveness and wisdom see the new statement by Christian minister Pat Robertson on YouTube, who feels god is punishing Haiti for a Pact to the Devil that some slaves made 200 years ago. Duhh??? :

Pat Robertson on Haiti's "Pact to the Devil"

    /watch?v=QszyMLxrQvk

These fundamentalists are really crazy & scary. (Palin also believes she's chosen. Duhh?)

    For the Haitian response see:

    Haitian ambassador shames Pat Robertson

    /watch?v=jndfQJf48Tw

  • What an ignorant statement.

Why do you link Brit's comment to Robertson? Was he even talking abouot Haiti? Does Brit even know or agree with Robertson?

What an akward but predictable attempt at shoehorning the two statements.

  • A good marijuana high is peaceful; doesn't mean that it is true.

  • As a Buddhist there is a lot of alignment in almost all faiths when it comes to kindness, compassion, love, forgiveness and redemption. However no one has ever waged war in the name of Buddha ohhhhhmmmmm... = )

  • Keep the Faith Hume!!!

  • Who made the stars and universe...who made matter?

  • vandy, for an elegant explanation see YouTube:

Carl Sagan - God And Gods

    /watch?v=LeVhkXW6BKY

  • BTW vandy, you asked me what I "thought" about Jesus. I "think" it was probably something like that, but I could very well be wrong.

However, there was no "virgin birth", walking on water, or resurrection after he died. Those are all "fairy tales." In fact, all of those myths were borrowed from previous ancient cultures.

  • BTW, for your information, the theory of evolution has been verified by MOUNTAINS OF EVIDENCE for 150 years from many disciplines, including Genetics, Embryology, Comparative Anatomy, and Paleontology.

The theory of evolution is like atomic theory, germ theory and the theory of gravity.. Duhh???

Bacteria and viruses evolve on a "daily basis" creating resistant strains. It's a serious medical problem.

Check out PBS-NOVA, "Becoming Human" for all the latest scientific evidence.

  • It's called circular reasoning. It is not a proven fact it is just a theory. It has not been proved that life evolved from non-life. This has honestly been debated to death. I am not qualified to get the scientifics of it and frankly I doubt you are either. Each side boils down to the same thing. You believe in evolution...I believe in God.

  • vandy, so you're admitting that life on earth evolved from bacteria about 3.5 billion years ago?? (You're just not conceding the cause of the creation of bacteria?)

  • No, I personally don't even believe the earth is 3.5 billion years old. I believe in creation. We just know there are genetic similarities between animals and humans. There is no proof we evolved from an ape..just theories.

  • Thank you for showing us your profound ignorance, vandy.

Do you believe the speed of light is 186,000 miles per second??

  • It's 3.0 times 10^8 meters per second

  • The speed of light in used in the metric system not in miles..

  • Thank you vandy, the speed of light is 300 thousand km/sec.

So, we can see light from stars that are more than 13 billion light years from here. That means they're older that 13 billion years old.

    How do you explain that?

  • So Jesus walked the earth right??

  • Please say that you're trolling us.

  • goog2k, I'm very sorry for all of the pain and agony that has come your way from Christians that would cause you to so relentlessly ridicule them as you seem to so easily and naturally do. There are many loving, bright, intelegent, caring Christians in this great country of ours, many much more intelegent that you or I. They believe in this "fairy tale" as you so fondly call it. It seems that insulting and belittling us all is just a bit too enjoyable for you. You win. I'm going to bed....

  • rkempka, I appreciate your feigned pity but it's quite unnecessary.

FORGIVENESS has nothing to do with religious bigotry and proselytizing.

Spiritual Christians like Mother Theresa and Jimmy Carter who demonstrate their Christian love, forgiveness and charity with action and devotion are admirable.

It's the overwhelming majority of Christian hypocrites and loud-mouthed Christian bigots like Hume who are despicable.

    THAT'S THE POINT!!!

  • mspookie, you speak of things you know not of to make fun of things many of us hold very dear. Is that somehow fun for you? Too many atheist conferences I think. Just curious, do you believe in anything of substance?

  • For the latest on Christian forgiveness and wisdom see the new statement on FOX News by former Christian minister and Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee on YouTube:

Huckabee On Abdulmutallab: "We Need To Put That Stuff Back In His Underwear...[And] Let It Go Off"

    /watch?v=ZyCHJNOQLMQ&feature=e mail

Unbelievable. Who could trust this kind of emotionally adolescent person in the White House???

  • The death of Jesus on the cross was so signficant, so sufficient, so complete, that no sin is beyond its cleansing power.

Anyone that wants forgiveness, even from adultery, murder and mass murder, can receive it from God if their heart is truly repentant. Its is NOT a "get out of jail free" card; it is a reflection back to the glory of Jesus Christ and His sufficiency on the cross for our forgiveness.

  • On the contrary - it is about free speech;and freedom of religion. Americans involved here; not anyone else. Here's what we say here in the US - Respect Brit and Tiger's respective choices - right or wrong, like them or not, YOU'RE the pathetic one if you cannot.

  • It's not a matter of free speech.

Smug religious proselytizing is disrespectful and offensive on its face. It automatically implies "I know better than you. My religion is better than yours, and I'm going to show you the real truth"

Besides, Hume was deliberately demeaning Buddhism, of which he has no knowledge, whatsoever.

    That's pathetic.

  • For the latest example of Christian forgiveness and wisdom see the new statement by former Christian minister and Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee on YouTube:

Huckabee On Abdulmutallab: "We Need To Put That Stuff Back In His Underwear...[And] Let It Go Off"

    /watch?v=ZyCHJNOQLMQ&feature=email

Unbelievable. Who could trust this kind of emotionally adolescent person in the White House???

  • I trust him a whole lot more than Obama who sticks his head in the sand. Abdol......is provided an attorney , paid for by you and me, and clams up. This man should have no rights in our country. He tried to blow up American people and the idiots in Washington thinks he deserves an attorney.

  • vandykerp,

I thought Jesus told Peter you should "forgive seventy times seven times."

I guess they left that out in your Bible (and left it out of Huckabee's Bible too.)

  • Last time I checked this man wasn't asking for our forgiveness. He was just sorry he his plan failed. Big difference!

  • Do you also think we should allow the priests that have been sexual abusers to remain in the church and just forgive them? It is biblical that they are to be removed from leadership until the behavior is changed.

  • Why do you try to confuse removing them and protecting the children with forgiving them??

Do you think Jesus is that stupid???

    Pathetic.

  • I am not confusing anything. A change of heart and repentance is what God seeks. We need to SEEK forgiveness.

  • Forgiveness for what? It's all a fairy tale designed to control and manipulate you with guilt.

  • Comment removed

  • It's called morals. But hey, if you have no belief system then what are morals to you?

  • vandykerp, you need to reexamine your Christianity.

If Christianity doesn't express the unconditional love and forgiveness of Jesus, it's a fraud.

I wish they put all the intolerant fundamentalist self-righteous wackos of every creed who are wrapped up in their crazy, "only my way" delusions and let them fight it out to the last man. Leave the rest of us alone.

All you guys are nuts, including Hume & Huckabee, as has been demonstrated. Thank you a for your revealing comments.

  • Let's see if I get this straight...

You think I am not showing the unconditional love and foregiveness of Jesus to this terrorist who wanted to blow up American people?

I think you just have a bur under you saddle against Christians and want to argue. "Leave you alone" ....as you stated? Your engaging in this conversation. I am not the one calling names here.

  • vandykerp, you better check back. I'm sure I didn't make any comments to you until you attacked something I wrote. So, like Hume, you're the presumptuous smug proselytizer.

Why are you pushing your fairy tales on this thread? It's certainly not a site for self-righteous fundamentalists. If you don't want to be criticized for you devotion to fairy tales, go away. It's okay, we won't miss you.

  • You didn't answer my question....Do you think christians are not showing the unconditional love and forgiveness of Chirst to this man who tried to blow up the plane??

I don't mind being criticized by you or any other non believer. I don't have a problem stating my beliefs just as you don't have a problem stating yours. Somehow, everyone can voice their opinions EXCEPT christians.Thankfully, Hume or Huckabee won't be silenced.

Oh yes, you would miss me! You like to argue with Christians.

  • Sorry vandy, I thought I answered it with your fallacious example of the priests abusing children.

Of course, this guy is going to be punished. He's a deluded wacko who is devoted to a different silly fairy tale and I'm sure he's going to jail for at least 20 years or more.

Does that mean he's not a human being, and we shouldn't have compassion and forgiveness for his ignorant delusions??

I thought Jesus was more concerned for the "lost sheep." Isn't that what he taught??

  • No, I never said he wasn't a human being. You obviously know a little bit a about the scripture. Jesus is concerned about the Lost sheep. You see, it is a commandment for christians to spread the word of Jesus. Just like you stated...find the lost sheep. YOU are right here. We ARE to find the lost sheep. This is exactly what Hume is trying to do. Your the one who seems to have a problem with it.

  • Good grief vandy, you're not only a smug hypocrite, you're a hopeless idiot.

Thank you for illustrating all of my points so well.

Why don't you go and "save" Reverends Jimmy Swaggart and Ted Haggard, -- and Senators John Ensign, David Vitter, and Larry Craig while you're at it.

Give the rest of us a break from your childish superstitious fairy tales???

    THAT'S THE POINT!!!

  • I don't "save" anyone. Jesus does. You seem determined to keep calling them superstitious fairy tales. Why are you so defensive and angry?? hmmmm

  • vandykerp, do you know what a fairy tale is?? It's kinda like the "tooth fairy" and "unicorns." Are they fairy tales??? How do you know?? Can you PROVE the tooth fairy doesn't exist???

    Duhh???

A fairy tale is a fairy tale, is a fairy tale.

vandy, if you're still convinced of God's immutable spoken word in the Bible please answer even ONE of these questions. JUST ONE!

    I bet you can't.

    Not even one.

    YouTube:

10 questions that every intelligent Christian must answer

    /watch?v=zDHJ4ztnldQ

  • He won't even try.

  • "If your still convinced" ???? What...are you trying to convince me He doesn't? haha

Can you PROVE his doesn't?? Can you prove evolution? NO....can you prove God...NO. I am not trying to to force God on you. I am just supporting Hume and his remarks. Why doesn it bother you so that I believe in Christ in his salvation?

  • Oops, vandy, I guess that means you can't answer even one of the ten questions.

    Duhh???

Please answer even ONE of these questions. JUST ONE!

    I bet you can't.

    Not even one

    YouTube:

10 questions that every intelligent Christian must answer

    /watch?v=zDHJ4ztnldQ

  • Please, don't bore me with answering if the Tooth Fairy exists!

I just stated I can't prove to you God exists anymore than you can prove He doesn't. It's called faith. He have it or you don't. I think we have established you don't.

  • * oops...You have it or you don't....I should proofread before hitting the post comment key!

  • Blah, blah, blah vandy. -- Dodge and weave, dodge and weave.

Still can't answer even one question. Duhh??

    C'mon, vandy, just one. Please!!!

    I bet you can't.

    YouTube:

10 questions that every intelligent Christian must answer

    /watch?v=zDHJ4ztnldQ

  • Prove He doesn't

  • vandy, you can't prove a negative. Duhh???

Prove the "tooth fairy" doesn't exist.

When you do, I'll prove there's no fairy tale big daddy up in the sky who grants silly wishes.

  • Hey goog....do you also dispute Jesus walked the earth and performed miracles? Do you just think he was a good man who spoke of "fairy tales"

    Who was He?

  • Jesus was a good man, who like saints and sages from every culture, had deep mystical experiences of his complete oneness with reality. That's usually called "Cosmic consciousness" or "God consciousness."

Jesus said, "I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you."

That "Father" is the wondrous mystery we call Reality, nature, the cosmos, great spirit, etc. -- not a fairy tale big daddy like Zeus or Odin.

Because of his experiences of oneness Jesus taught unconditional love and forgiveness.

  • Goog..listen you speak of alternative reality. Sounds like to me a fairy tale in itself. It's ok..unlike you I think you have the right to your own opinion. We don't agree. Just show some respect to those who don't value your belief system.

  • vandy, you're trying to change subject again. What about stars that are 13+ billion light years away?

It's not an alternative reality, just another" perception." It's actually the same way that YOU perceived reality when you were still in the womb. Then it was all just an oceanic oneness.

You actually "learned" to separate yourself from the world when you discovered the nipple was "outside" not "inside". Then you created a separate little ego when you learned language.

    More study, vandy.

  • Wow...honestly, this stuff is too out there for me. I have no intention of studing anything remotely close to this "inside" not "outside" nipple thing you describe.

Light years is used to describe a distance not a time period. So yes, I do believe stars are that far away. The universe is infinetely large.

  • vandy, you're contradicting yourself. You admit light travels 300,000 km/sec. One light year is 6 trillion miles or 10 trillion km.

The light we see today from galaxies 13+ billion light years away has been traveling for over 13 billion years to get here. That means it started out more than 13 billion years ago.

Therefore, the cosmos is AT LEAST 13 Billion years old. You have already admitted that.

So, how do you explain it???

  • Comment removed

  • Who made god? That's what I want to know.

  • I go with mspookie. Who made god?

  • Jebus doesn't save anyone anymore than Santa does, son. Grow up.

  • The idea that all you have to do is ask forgiveness and it's given is somewhat misguided. Ancient Christianity--Orthodox and Catholic--teaches that you will have to do reparation for your ill deeds. Furthermore, you wil pay temporarily here on earth for your sins, so it's not a free ride by any means.

  • Thanks Brit! Take a stand for christianity! Breath of fresh air...

  • Brit reminds us just how stupid Xinaity is.

  • People like Hume see Christianity as a get out of jail free card. Do whatever you want accept Jesus and all's forgotten.

  • If he is to chose a faith based on what it OFFERS then atheism is the only guilt free solution. If there is no go and no power/entity outside of ourselves, then there is no good or evil outside of what we each deside. Then tiger did nothing wrong because 'wrong' has no standard application. Neither did Hitler to anything 'wrong'> But is atheism TRUE? Is the Bible TRUE? Is the Koran TRUE? Each is mutually exclusive of the others.

  • How incorrect and horrible, beacher425. Atheism in no way means the throwing away of one's morals. No person in his or her right mind, theist or atheist, would approve of what Hitler did. I suggest you educate yourself as to what atheism means before you post incorrect information.

  • Then where do atheists get their morals? and who has the authority to say that one atheist is wrong with his chosen morals and another is right?

  • Where? From the same place that allows us to know that the biblical god is an immoral and unjust bastard.

  • Again, where are you getting the standard by which you are judging God to be immoral and unjust? Are you using the moral code that you are arguing against? Are you saying that you have greater knowledge of the events described in the Bible than God, so as to judge God's actions? Could there be things that God knows that we don't that would clarify it all? But I see your point. If God doesn't exist, then the its all a mote (sp) point anyway.

  • More nonsense in an attempt to obfuscate the fact that bible god is a monster who loves blood sacrifices --including those of his own child.

You can't BS your way out of this one.

  • No, it is you that is avoiding answering the question. Until you do, we have no real starting point for a productive discusion.

  • Please reread my post. I never said atheists approve of what Hitler did. I said that they cann't say what he did was "wrong" any more than they can say what Mother Theresa did was "right" because if each person is his own source of moral codes, there is no objective "right and wrong". It puts humans in the God-like role of "moral determiner". Of course atheism doesn't mean "throwing away of one's morals". It means throwing away everyone else's and choosing for yourself based on your passions

  • FAIL

  • What do you mean?

  • "He came down to earth as an incarnation of Himself, to sacrifice Himself to Himself in order to forgive His people, who he had made in the image of Himself, and save them from--wait for it!--the wrath of...HIMSELF! TAAAA-DAAAH!!!!!!"

  • Still not answering the question of where an athist gets his morals and how he can set his morals above any one esle's as a standard. If everyone gets to set their own standard, who gets to say which standard is wrong?

  • As if you would listen? Anthropology answers it. We are social animals who developed rules over time on how to live together. Since no one likes being murdered or having their stuff taken, we agreed that no one should suffer either. Confucius taught the Golden Rule 500 years before your Jebus.

  • If we are animals, what does it matter that the other person doesn't like being murdered or having his stuff taken? Why do you appeal to the golden rule? What makes the golden rule right and "might makes right" wrong?

  • You really are a dangerous idiot. That's why man invented gods. To keep creeps like you in check. The rest of us don't need to be threatened into acting decently.

  • Name calling really makes your point well.

    Bye.

  • Dwell on this till it sinks in:

    I think,

    Some shrewd man first,

    a man in judgment wise,

Found for mortals the fear of gods,

Thereby to frighten the wicked should they

Even act or speak or scheme in secret.

    - Euripides

  • Still doesn't define right from wrong appart from your ademant (sp) "Because I said so."

Thanks for the discusssion. Looks like we're done. Bye.

  • That's how your holey bible god works: Might makes right.

Have you actually read the bible? Nope. If you had you would understand that he's the most immoral, vile, and evil monster ever created by man.

I'm a non-believer but want the religion fairy tale to remain if only to keep people like you from murdering your family and neighbors.

  • "Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by rulers as useful." --Seneca

  • @mspookie

i totally agree with you there.

back in the old days, rulers had to use some sort of brainwashing methods to control their people.

this was the only effective way.

  • Ask the Christians and Muslims in India how tolerant Hinduism is of other faiths.

  • How is brit different in principle from islamists wanting to convert the whole world to muslims and sharia law?

Unfortunately the dogmatic nature of western relegions(christianity, islam) is the root cause for many conflicts around the world.

Eastern relegions like hinduism, budhism are very tolerant and accept other faiths as different paths to reach the same GOD.

  • Is he high??

  • The notion that you need faith to fully recover and find forgiveness is patently absurd...Shame on you Frankenstein, aka "Brit."

  • If Jesus comes back, I'll shoot him in the face

  • @Citabria007 FUCK YOU FAGGOT

  • @drewchasias

And then I'll fk Jesus in the arse!

  • memama2, since you're a fundamentalist Christian, I don't expect you to understand.

Christians have been telling us forever that if we don't believe in their fairy tales, we're all damned to hell. Hume's comment is just another form of Christian religious bigotry "light."

I repeat, Hume was denigrating another religion and proselytizing for his own personal creed on a national TV news show. That's religious bigotry.

It's pathetic. Please keep your unwelcome fairy tales to yourself.

    That's disgusting.

  • @goog2k = GOD told mankind that HE alone was the One True Living GOD & stepped out of Eternity Past & sent His Son to Redeem mankind! Jesus Christ left us His words and Message of Redemption and called all other false dogmas & cults & those Triune GOD rejecting false "relgions" = from their father the devil. Many who have "studied" Buddhism SEE it for what it is! Another egoic lie made up to denegrate and dismiss Holy Triune Living GOD! It's another selfish self centered cult that hates Christ!

  • Hey Brit, here's an idea.

Try being, oh, I dunno an unbiased reporter instead of a moron that only found "Jebus" after your kid offed himself.

You're nothing but a sick sack of shit projecting your own failures as a father onto Tiger Woods.

Get some counseling and get the fuck off the air.

    And stay off.

  • Christianity like IsIam is pure eviI!

  • @Citabria007 = ahhhh ..... thats a "demon light bulb moment" for ya ! ~

  • @Citabria007 = yer in the SAME CULT as = islam!!!........ and that FACT does not even "demon dawn on ya".....yer both following pure evil and "making it all up"......to EXCLUDE GOD! ......... those pesky satanic lies always get the ignorant and "self striding ego cults"

  • Briliant comments!

I applaud this man for his courage!

  • Yet another example of how Fox News is NOT a news network . . .

  • We are literally going to hell considering we allow idiots like this on our tvs. Praise be to Jesus.

  • His ignorance is sad.

  • I'd like my Christianity with a side of bigotry please

  • Ths guy's a fucking DICK

  • Hmm, as long as we're telling people they ought to convert to other religions: Mr. Hume, you should abandon Christianity and become an agnostic.

  • Faux News strikes again!

  • Brit Hume is losing the plot.

First, Tiger Woods is not a Buddhist. He believes in Buddhism, but is not a practicing, meditating hours a day, every day Buddhist.

Second, Buddhism doesn't view what Mr. Woods did as bad or good, so forgiveness is irrelevant.

Finally, Mr. Hume shouldn't mix news and religion. Stick to what you do best, Mr. Hume: spread propaganda.

  • Well..it's a bit more complicated than that. The Five Precepts express that one should refrain from "sexual misconduct"..adultery is generally, something that is not actually promoted by Buddhist teachings and ethics.

  • @El = everyone knows that your selfish made up mantras & a mere human series of miss-oracles & a dead idol add up to a = cult. Not a religion. It is an anti-GOD cult. According to what GOD said in Holy Scripture = TRUTH and the message of Jesus Christ & the act of recognition of sins - the soul desireing a relationship with GOD (not dead idols and demons)would then be found in Scripture. Those Actual TRUTHS! Left to mankind by Holy Triune God. Are where peace that passes understanding comes from

  • 1) The Buddha is not an idol. He is a teacher. I am Buddha. You are Buddha. Everyone is Buddha.

    2) Anti-God? Not necessarily. The historical Buddha simply did not know whether there was a Creator God or not.

    3) Mantra is restricted mostly to the Nichiren and Shingon sects, as well as the Tibetan lineages. They play a far smaller role in mainstream Mahayana and Theravada Buddhism

    Peace to you~

  • @Elphir = dear me you are DEEP into the demon dogma & only GOD can open the blinders you appear to have glued onto your peepers! .... you are not more "knowledgable than GOD" & your ~buddJest~ mixed up miss-oracles are the same old message that Satan ~slithered into the original garden!.....you think that ADDING 666 platitudes make you and demons and satan sit on a "higher thown" then GOD? = prognosis negative!....but sadly you may have to meet him on the last day for mankind in GOD'S Courtroom

  • Yes. Peace to you as well <3

  • @Elphir = sadly your "heart" is given to the wrong = side ! = (dark side with a sure chance of fire~)

  • The only dogma is yours Mama. Forgiveness is a mental state. It comes from love. Forgiveness is non-condemnation & enouragement to change. Jesus said to the adulterous: "I do not condemn you. Go & sin no more". Each of us must comprehend forgiveness & impart it. It is not something divorced from the reality of each person. Currently you are like the blind guides Jesus talked about. He said: "Given they claim to know, they are guilty". Jesus said: :Forgive, as you will be forgiven".

  • Mama. Please do not speak of peace. Be peace. You are reciting words by the letter rather than via the spirit. Jesus was concerned with the spirit & not the letter. When you believe Jesus forgives you, you feel peace. Peace does not come from Jesus. It comes from forgiveness. If Jesus hated you, you would not feel peace. Personally, my view is you do a disservice to your religion because you are spreading hate, dogma & especially ignorance. You are speaking from "self" rather than from peace.

  • @Barb - go to .............. e-q-u-i-p DOT o-r-g ............. and in their SEARCH area = type in "Buddhism" and then read. Then go back and type in "Buddha" and then read. then go back and type in "Jesus Christ" and then read. Then type in "Salvation"..... and read. Then finish with "Hinduism"........and maybe "God" and then ~read!

  • @Mama. I know what is true within my heart (and not from an internet site as you recommened). What ever is good, comes from love. If you feel Jesus forgives you and redeems you, that comes from his love. It is love that redeems you. Please try to understand from your heart rather than from 'self' and from fear. The apostle said: "Perfect love drives out all fear". Please perfect love and free your heart & mind from fear, prejudice and false religion.

  • Please read "Living Buddha, Living Christ" by Thich Nhat Hanh. The essence of both Jesus and the Buddha are not that far from eachother.

  • @Elphir = Jesus Christ is not an "essence"...... and that is why you cannot and never will RECONCILE them to each other! One is PURE TRUTH= Jesus Christ a part of The Triune Living Godhead. And one is dogma from demons and evil spirit underlings indwelling and conduiting into peoples minds and soul and blinding them to who they really MUST SEEK for Redemption and Repentance! GOD! I have read thru several "comparisions" and they end up in a ~ denegration~ of Jesus Christ and all ending in LIES

  • @Elphir. Well spoken friend. Indeed, the Buddha was a teacher & a spiritual friend, just as Jesus was a teacher & a spiritual friend. As Mary cried: "Rabboni". The Buddha said depending on him & his teachings, human beings can find freedom from suffering & find peace. The Buddha did not teach mantra. The Buddha taught wisdom & understanding. Whilst the Buddha taught creation comes from nature, he also taught God believers that the way to union with God (Brahma) was via generating limitless love.

  • @B&E: TRUTH TRUMPS = demon dogma and cults and fraud gods - EVERYTIME!....& the reason you are swarming around Brit's "comment"...???......= CONVICTION of yours & Tigers lost soul = sins ~ (& the only cure?) Forgiveness thru Jesus Christ's redemption - his death as our propitiation - to reconcile us to His Father. And the requirement & need we all have of FAITH in the One True Living Triune GOD. You want to chase ~Tiger back to a lie. He needs the "peace that passes understanding" found in GOD

  • @inmyhumble0pinion. Naturally, Buddhism regards Tiger's actions as unwholesome & unskfilful. The Buddha advised many times for a husband to be faithful to his wife and that gambling & womanising can ruin a man. However, Buddhists do not condemn Tiger & are willing to accept him with love for how he is. If Tiger wishes to change, a Buddhist is happy to receive him with love & encourage him towards what is truly skilful, beneficial & leading to true happiness.

  • Like non-adulterous Christians such as Newt Gingrich, Rudy Giuliani, Tom DeLay, Sen. John Ensign, Gov. Mark Sanford, Ted Haggard, etc, etc, etc, etc.

  • Because Christians never commit adultery.

  • I bet the same people who hate Hollywood for spouting their political views are just rolling around in these comments like a pig in shit. Kind of ironic isn't it?

To openly tell someone on National T.V. to convert to their religion, as a way of salvation, or in his own mind and others like him, the only salvation, is completely ridiculous.

These same people all truly believe that anyone who isn't Christian is just a puppet in their Armageddon play, and will soon be in hell. Nice people huh?

  • @treehousesd There is nothing wrong with calling for conversion on TV. The problem is pretending to be a news agency and pushing religion in the guise of political advice.

  • "When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle. Then I realised that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me." ~ Emo Phillips

  • Brit, go sit on your dildo that's in your back pocket. Fuck you and that thing called faith that you pretend to endorse, you lying sack of shit. You just beat off the FOX base. Did they cum yet Brit huh? Is it really worth the money? Ugh!

  • That's Fox news for you...good grief

  • how can grief be good?

  • Hume is a Reich-wing douche bag.

  • For those who bash Brit, I would say that the basis of the Christian faith IS forgiveness. As Jesus was nailed to the cross his words - forgive them Father for they know not what they do ...... yeah that is a pretty good example. If you dont believe that is fine but why the need to burn at the stake anyone that does ???

  • The basis of the news is to report on current events. The news is not there to make you feel better about your religion of choice. May I suggest the 700 club?

  • Oh so sorry - you are right God should only be discussed on Sundays between 9 and 12 at the church of your choice. Funny, all the liberal, left wing, ACLU folks want to scream free speach until someone mentions God then all the sudden the rules change. This was not a "news report" it was a round table discussion - sorta like the jerk Bill Maher's show and his " balanced objective views". Go back to MSNBC or CNN if you dont like it.

  • Far from me to rob you of your victim status, dw. My criticisms of your post were an example of free speech, not an infringement of it.

    Carry on.

  • Thanks JG- not a victim here, you are right free speech is always has two sides. I also would agree if his comments were part of the actual " News" it would seem like the 700 club however to me he was asked what he "thought".

  • @dwsutton Why do conservatives cite MSNBC as not being balanced? MSNBC's morning show is hosted by former GOP Congressman Joe Scarborough, and Pat Buchanan is a regular on most shows, including Rachel Maddow.

For Faux News to achieve that balance, they should give their morning show to Michael Moore and have Al Gore as a regular guest on Glen Beck. I've also yet to see an MSNBC host cry on cue.

  • Amen!!

  • Hey Brit! GO FUCK YOURSELF!!!!

  • why should he?

  • If Brit Hume knows the will of God, shouldn't he be able to tell me the news a week in advance? ...Or should I just take his word for it like an good, obedient, bedwetting right-wing authoritarian?

  • Did he say that?

  • What is the 'kind of forgiveness offered by the Christian faith'?

  • Here's the most valid comment you'll read here:

FUCK YOU Brit. Your head is so far up your ass that you are truly an embarrassment as a "journalist" and should be taken off the air ASAP.

  • @MamoDad

    Drooool...

    How enlightened of you.

  • @TexasDawg3 = the coven & cults do not like the TRUTH - they "thumbs downed your comment".........(only power they possess!)

  • Of course, we've NEVER seen a Christian commit adultery.....
