  • Grouse.

  • so cool!

  • thats so awsome!!

  • He is so adorable!

  • @TheSpunk45 that's so cool! I want a pet bat! How did you even get it!

  • I had a pet bat before. i always put him first, i fed him 3 times a day (handfed). he'd always fly to my ceilling but then hed always for some reason come back down to my shirt. then id carefully take him off and put him in my cage. and one day, i went to my friends house for 2 days. and when i came back he was dead :( if i hadnt gone to my friends house i would still have a bat. he was a philippine fruit bat btw.

  • Poor guy, he was horrified. Nice video.

  • My initials spell bat and I approve of this video.

  • I had a small bat like that but lost it because we put it in a tent left it for a little and when w came back it was gone and we found a small hole we think he got out

  • i can tell you're a girl cause of your bracelet. guys usually don't wear that type/ color... some might but its more on the rare side guys would...

  • bats are shit flyers

  • @BMXBOBO No they're not.

  • poor little thing is shaking.... :(

  • Bat returns home to cave :

"Honey your'e not gonna believe my day!"

  • bat lookin scared as fuuuuck

  • Awww...why isn't he asleep!? It's past his bedtime!

    0:56 Fly, monkeys, fly!

  • IT'S SOOOOO CUTE!

  • Wow, I've never seen a bat from this close up before! Its wings are really pretty!

They make silly whoosh sounds when they fly though.

  • It looks like a frog and a hamster :D cuuuuuuute

  • so cute<3

  • it's great how such ugly animals can be so beautiful.

  • it has rabies, thats why it hasnt flown away yet.

  • bats look like flyikng cats with wings.

  • <3(((:

  • That bad looks terrified.

  • thats very sweet what you did for this bat , I would have done the same thing . the lil dude didnt look dangerous to me !!!!

  • there must be a man in this video, cuz im hearing 2 different voices

  • as sunsdomain said is true but why would u let the bat fly around at the morning... well its a good decision since at night its more dangerous lol

  • This is DANGEROUS. Bats are interesting and beautiful animals - but DO NOT handle them!!! A bat on the ground is a sick bat! It may be carrying rabies, a lethal disease.

If a bat needs to be handled, contact a wildlife professional (rehabilitator, etc).

  • so cute Q__Q <3

  • dont forget i love u! the bat comes back i love u 2!

  • He's such a cute (and cold) Bat!

  • 0:58 Pschiom!

  • I'm glad to see you let him go :) That cute little guy looked so terrified too!

  • thats fucking awesome, ima go buy one and name it toothpaste

  • awww!

  • I thought bats bite? Wingspan is amazing

  • @ALPHAandOMEGA44 I thought they did too.. My friends caught another one at the lake and it bit this guys shirt... This one must have liked me ;)

  • @G0tM1Ik Cool, how do you catch them with a bed-sheet? You know you can catch them with pantyhose? Take a little bit of the fabric and fill it with sand, make a little ball the size of a grape. When you toss things in to the air bats will swoop down and snag them like ninjas. Nylon stockings filled sand will snag their little claws. Would be a neat pet.

  • @G0tM1Ik it looks cute.

  • @G0tM1Ik . hope he went for rabies shots. Bats are #1 with rabies even if they seem gentle.

  • Wtf, you're a girl? LOL.

You really did lose your voice, huh?

  • @HelloPessimist LoL.. I did... I dont sound like a boy haha...

  • @HelloPessimist Sounded like a girl to me from the moment she first spoke. I don't get what you mean.

  • bats are so cute<666

  • @afdba wtf

  • he is cute very cute

  • Hes not coming back isnt he :D

  • @ejablonskis i wish he would come back.. i miss him.. :( lol

  • @G0tM1Ik did he really come back? D:

  • Thumbs up for letting go :D

    I love bats!!!

  • Thank you for being nice to him :)

But I would be careful before going near bats again...they recently discovered that fruit bats are hosts of the Ebola virus, and if you've ever read The Hot Zone...

  • @sixxuglykingdom Well he isnt a fruit bat.. But plenty of things we interact with everyday are at a high risk of carrying a disease but as long as you're careful and dont touch your mouth and things like that and wash your hands you will be okay.. :)

  • @G0tM1Ik Saliva and blood are the things to void. Blood in particular. Yes 15% of fruit bats in the wild have ebola virus.

  • Freetails are amazingly intelligent. Glad you let him go on his way. Hope he was alright, being caught so easily...

  • awe there so cute

  • @ashleya555

You'll think cute when they bite you and a month later you die from rabies.

  • @Sunderland4745 He used gloves for a reason. I work with them frequently, and they're a charm.

You take precautions when you fly to a foreign country with certain common ailments. Same with bats. Get your shots and join a rehabilitation center. :)

  • @Sunderland4745 pretty sure they have a cure for that lol

  • @Sunderland4745 This is why humans get shots just like any pet would.... To my knowledge, the rabies shot is still mandatory.

  • @velcro18

If I did I'm pretty sure they don't last forever. A kid died not to long ago from rabies, he got bit by a bat and died a month later. It's rare but still... Cancer is better than getting rabies.

  • aw how mildly disturbing <=). I never was a big bat person

  • i heard that some one said pewww

  • looks like the little fella ive had in my room for the last 3 days. he couldnt find his way out but i could see he wasnt well. thing was trembling and disoriented

  • good job, ^^ im happy to see people helping other than killing which is wrong

  • nice people (Y)but it would of been better if you let him out not in the suburbs but in the woulds poreferabley somewere with caves ;P

  • Comment removed

  • @skaterkid1213 If the bat was found in the suburbs it's liable to have its home in an attic somewhere.

  • Bats always look like they're giving the thumbs up. I feel it really fits this video

  • He looks really old

  • Nice to see kids today respectings things !! especialy something as innocent as a little bat

    Way to go guys !!!

  • Awww! Adorable

  • Omg, you are the nicest person ever. BIG GIANT THUMBS UP.

  • LOL you are supposed to let it go at night. Thank you for letting it go though. The one that we had when I was a little kid died. It was horrible.

  • that thing cud have rabies

  • i found a bat idk what to do is the size of 2 quarters and it wont fly away i have it in a medium size bird cage with water and a towel im going to get some insects for it its an "Evening Bat" what do i do i don't want it do die!

  • @zipzap2690 take it to a zoo or a vet

  • Aw, so thats what Rouge the bat looks like in real life ^_^

  • Thank you so much for releasing it. Very cool video, it must have been a fun experience to hold the little guy!

  • AW what a cute little guy. I love bats, I think they're gorgeous. How on earth did you manage to pick him up? good of you to let him go though.

  • be careful some times bats carry rabbies which are not the same as those found in canines

  • @iEssential you really have no clue

  • Awww so cute, I'm wondering was it a small brown bat? I have seen one at my hold jr high school, I had to make kids stay away from it because they whre poking the poor thing with a stick and it was bearing it's teeth at them. It was taken by the animal control to be released in the wild, it was my frist bat I have ever seen in my life lol.

  • Awwwwww! its so cute! thumbs up

  • rabies?

  • It's a pipstrelle!!

  • @SavageInsight no it is a pocketed freetail. i rehabilitate them. And others.

  • pew pew :))) cute little guy ^-^

  • omg

  • Where can I get a pet bat?

  • hahaha.. dumb asses

they found it somehow.. you cant get a pet bat. unless you are zoologist.

  • where did you get him from i want one

  • Wow he looks scared. Seriously not many people would even stop to pay him any attention because he's a "bat" -.-

  • How cute!!!!!!!! Now I want a bat as a pet :) btw did he came back?

  • @iddo12233 if you read the description before commenting you'll find that they said " We found out they dont live long in captivity so we let him go"

  • thank you. from adorable bats everywhere and the people who love them

  • @captainstinky666 im pretty sure bats arent thanking them. you should never pick a bat up. 1. you can easily get a disease from just touching it and breating around it. 2. you woke it up so you can poke and prod it and now its completely disoriented and terrified. and 3. the bat probably had a heart attack because of this. no duh its heart is beating so fast.

  • Yeah it is nice to see that not all kids are deviants who would harm a creature they found like that. Unfortunately culture in America dictates that many simple-minded people see pretend violence on TV (or real violence in their own family's homes) and have to go carry it out in their own life. Stupidity did not win here, as it so often does. It was good to see the bat fly away.

  • I am glad you let him go!! he was a beautiful bat!

  • nice that you let it go, but it would of been best to do it at night or put it in a dark place if you have to let it go during the day.

  • DAMN subbed and thumb up'd

  • you let him go :)

  • aw! that is soo so so cute! <3

  • thanks for letting him go....but video

  • where do u live and were do u need to live to find a bat also were did u find ur bat and how did u catch it

  • Nice Paintball gloves lol

  • Awh.. that's so cool. At least you let him go. :D

Some a**hole just might have tortured it to death. :(

  • amazing animal you can see baby one I found in India ..you are smart to wear gloves and glad it was large enough to fly ..sadly the one I found was so tiny ... thanks for posting

  • Oh how cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute!!!!!! ♥♥♥

  • cute

  • Awesome!

  • Very nice.

  • did he return? :d

  • the bats all like piece!!!!

  • you mean peace

  • awesome thanks for the release! 5/5

  • So cute. I bet you miss him. ):

  • hes cute

  • Awesome. :)

  • they released him.

  • 0:22 he's like >( quit it

  • omg hes sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute!!!! i love bats!!!

  • He looks pretty cold, poor dude.

Good to see you were careful with the gloves - usually people can't feel what they're handling, and end up crushing things :P

  • where's robin?

  • You are very lucky to not have contracted Rabies. This bat is obviously confused, and unable to fly away. This is a major sign to look out for in rabid bats. You should NEVER pick up a bat off the ground. They are most likely sick. I work with the Organization for Bat Conservation.

  • @SerafinaKonig Well, I haved two bat baby's (I found they in the flood, obviously fell down from its nest) And they bite me all the time when I fed with a dropper, and I do not rabies infected xD

  • @SerafinaKonig well, they are wearing gloves which is a good start. I have to agree though, that bat doesn't look very well at all... but at least he flew away so that's a good sign.

  • Supposedly, if a bat is out in the day, that is a sign of rabies.

  • A vampire that didn't make it home before daybreak. Watch for smoking flesh.

I just realized that the myth of vampires dieing in sunlight could be related to bats dieing of rabies. And being out in sunlight. If what your saying is true.

    @Xboxlivemgear

  • @krrrruptidsoless

Well, the associated between vampires is actually fairly recent, more a hollywood embellishment. In the original Romanian legends, vampires transformed into moths, wolves, rats and snakes.

  • how cute! im surprised he didnt fly away sooner...

  • lol

  • So Sweet, these creatures are so maligned.

  • Cool--the kid let it go free unharmed. Thumbs up!

  • BORING!!!! BORING!!.... like in the movies? :)

  • is this Florida? because i love Florida i wish i lived there but i live in stupid Michigan cold crappy weather

  • Looks cold out. I wonder why he wasn't hibernating..?

  • that is so awsom!!!!!

but itsa illigal to have as pet

  • i like bats :) they eat bugs when we go camping

  • wow, first time i really got a good look at their feet o_o

it's so adorable, was it really cold at the time? or were you wearing gloves "just in case"?

(wondering, since the bat's a bit shaky. might be the light/cold/nervous)

    8D

  • he like "dude where do i go...its day out" lol

  • does bat come from bird and rat? because its fur looks like a rat, and etc. and it flys!

  • Nope

Bats aren't even related to rats or mice, despite their appearance.

  • that would make sense if bats did come from there

  • @mYcHeMiCaLCaThY

Actually they came from mice. There were mice back in prehistoric times that had laboritories and worked on melding wings to themselves. There are cave writing with detailed descriptions and ingredients to follow and to perform this task. But alchemists destroyed them with some sort of chemical. Anyway you were close.

  • looks like a free-tailed bat. Thanks for let him go, wild animals shall never live in captivity only because they are cute!

  • they dont hate the sunlight, it just slightly disorientates them.

  • Cute!

  • cool

  • if i were you id put that bat in a dark place it doesnt like the sun light

  • Comment removed

  • Draculas gonna fcuk you up

  • i love bats sooo much

  • i kept one over a winter once because we caught him inside our house in minus 40, he made it to spring and was just fine on a diet of mashed crickets.

  • Bats eat mosquitos and are beneficial. They are also very soft, but don't touch them! A bite can be dangerous!

  • They are illegal to have because they're endangered... but dogs and cats are legal, and you have people breeding them.

    they're not endangered. wtf.

I wish i could have one.

    (stfu about my name.)

  • bat eater lol

  • I knew that was coming!!! I fucking knew it! XD
