Squall's AI is kinda dumb here - he was able to get you with Rough Divide when he got you for a sec with his magic spam. Otherwise, Bio is just for surprises - you can simply dash through it would being hitted by it. Bio can also be used as shield against various attacks like Cecil's Searchlight glitch.
