@BeatsFromDP pretty much everything had to be re-pitched in some amount. I usually depending on the sample can chop it up and shift the pitch up 20 or so on individual chops to change the way it sounds and add other layers of sounds matching the key. So that way I can have multiple samples from different sources and put parts of them together that match.
Very nice bruh! I appluad you too! Doing the Pete Rock, Premo, Large Pro thang is hard! That's what they do, pull those sounds from all these different records! And you did it just as they did! Nice work! A level I'm striving to get to myself! The beat was great! Stay up! * * * * *'s!
damn u really doin it they sound like its all from one record like it was meant to be thats amazing peace n God bless i had 2 comment again just cause thats so crazy how u hooked it up with 4 different records and 3 for the drums
yo i got the tom scott la express record 2 early on in my diggin journey i gotta go back 2 that shit very very nicely done 5 star bro bangin!!!!!!!!!!!
I applaud to you for putting all these different records together in a beat. I've tried similar things before... just yesterday i sampled drums from two different records and used samples from two other records... i wasn't happy with the results at all and turned off the mpc. :P
So yeah, i know it's hard... but you pulled it off nicely! ;-)
@jibber951 I really appreciate it. I spend the whole night till sunrise at some points. I also keep a book full of notes for music that have the same melody, covers or what ever it may be.
I hear you man, if i have the time, i sometimes keep at it until i can't keep my eyes open anymore (sometimes even if i don't have the time!). The notebook is a great idea, i often thought about putting post-its on records, but a notebook is much better, will start doing the same probably! Keep it up... :-)

Really nice beat. Did you have to do a lot of pitch shifting to get all the samples in tune?
