keiko is a magnificent whale n will n\/r e\/er be forgotten. i lo\/e u keiko. i will n\/r forget u. n btw i met keiko in real life. he was e\/en kutier in person. but anyways R.I.P KEIKO

i grew up with the love of killer whales, mainly from the movie free willy. it showed me the amazing killer whale and how beutiful and majestic they are and if you ever watch free willy i dont think i will ever be able to replace kieko as one of ur number on killer whales. he was the only killer whale to have the three black dots underneath his chin so therefore you automatically know he is a special whale. and the orca being spectacular as it is it should be FREE!!!!

I totally agree. I love how Keiko is known for his marks. Even though every orca seems to have something different about them, I think Keiko's three dots are the best known amongst orca fans.

@jesuslove110, I don't think it is selfish to want to see these magnificant animals up close. The only thing I can say is that SeaWorld no longer removes orcas from the wild, they are all bred into it, which I think is much better compared to many other places.

What a beautiful video of Keiko and free orcas. Keiko was the orca that changed my life completly and I love and miss him terriably but he died a free orca:))

To be fair that was my very first video. I promise to update but I've gone for 3 and a half months without internet and can not really get on untill my prelims are over, wednesday is my last.

I think it was mostly a compilations of various wild and captive orcas, male or female, young or old, so you're right, they are not all of Keiko.

@tinemommy yes keiko had a curved fin, as so does basicly every other orca in captivity and once in the ocean again there fins straighten up.

i was just wondering if some1 could help me i have been watching videos of orca 2day and seen the likes of shamu and tilikum hurt there trainers and i was wondering if keiko ever hurt any1 or got aggresive in anyway?

Honestly, I'm gonna say no. But there may have been incidents, a hit of a tail ect. They are total accidental. And I don't think Keiko was ever aggresive, I don't remember reading anything.

I would love to make a new one. I've had a few ideas, but with lack of Internet and upcoming higher I havn't done anything for awhile, but I'll maybe start spending a couple hours a week in one and I'll give you a shout if I get it completed :)

I do love them. I'm against more captures and bad facilities. But there's not much anyone can do about SeaWorld. It seems like a good enough place.... But the likes of MSQ and places in Canada are the ones I'm against.

Thanks for the comment, but I disagree. I think we can change. Green groups and animal rights groups are trying to change things. The more publicity they get the better.

We are the worst but maybe with more people spreading the good word then maybe one day we'll see some peace. (good word as in animal rights not anything religious).

Hi died from pneumonia, after he was released. He was thriving in the wild and he even swam to Iceland, but he developed pneumonia and died.

Well, he adapted OK, but he loved humans too much. On 9th September 1998, Keiko at last began his journey (870mile) home to Iceland from his home in Oregon where he played with humans, children were in the water playing with him. He caught a bacterial infection and died on December 12, 2003 .

It was so sad because he nearly could have been free, but they just missed his pod.

that was too sad. I met him when I was 20, 10 years ago to be exact. I'm mexican and I saw him giving a "show" in an amusement park here. I can't believe that those beautiful animals are taken away from their natural homes to give stupid shows. those shows should be banned.
