I am all for cleaning up our environment. I think we are audacious to think we can screw up the earth though. Global warming would be happening anyways. Take a look at earths past. Global warming produces very cold temps and we started to see it this past winter. It will also give us hot summers. The ice age came sort of quickly after a "global warming" As our planet ages the weather patterns and the geophysical shifts will occur more and more.

Just FYI- using flourescent bulbs doesn't get anywhere near offsetting the additional energy it would take to heat and a/c a 20k square foot home. That said, they prolly run that house on 'energy saver mode' most of the time- at least, I hope folks who have multiple residences bother to do so.
