  • これは・・最近楽譜を手に入れて弾き始めた曲です。

    意外と弾きにくいので苦労してます。

  • i got to disc 3 cleared it and during the cut scene going to the lifa tree in the start of disc 4 it freezes now i cant finish it D':

  • listening to this ALWAYS make me smileeeeee =)

  • Great song, it sounds so much better with a human playing it though.

  • I love hearing this song especially during nighttime.

    no weirdo

  • @Monkeyboy92037 u fag

  • "For god's sake stop outbidding me..... I want that reflect ring"

  • Mr Joplin? Sir? .......oh, it's you mr uematsu, sir. How's your day?

  • Would this be classed as a ragtime piece?

  • @TVslapstick That's what I think! Especially around 1:07....

  • @TVslapstick

And coincidently, here's someone doing a ragtime version of Treno

    watch?v=cBjY67PSOPI

This guy also does lots of other ragtime versions of video game music, watch them as well they're awesome.

  • @TVslapstick Yep. Just slower than most.

  • Final Fantasy 9 is a huge masterpiece..really i cant find the words to describe it..Oh..And Nobuo Uematsu is a GOD !

  • the best game EVER!!!

  • You lost 5000 gil!

  • No dislikes very good keep it up guys >D

  • best final fantasy ever.

  • I spent days in this town playing Tetra Master...

  • You know, every time I play through ff9 and I visit the major towns (Alexandria, Treno, Burmecia, Lindblum...), I want to live in Treno because the atmosphere along with this song make me feel like it would be a very artsy place, with cafes and theaters and museums....very culturally rich.

    Anyway. This track rules.

    Anyway, this track rules.

  • @migduh I get this vibe too. It's as if I'm wandering around a city in Europe, like Zurich, Vienna or Paris, and checking out the art and shops they have. I would DEFINITELY play this while sitting at a cafe somewhere in Western Europe!

  • card game ftw!

  • If you like this song, try listening to anything written by Scott Joplin. Ragtime music.

  • I want the music for the dance that they did in Cleyra

  • This is, probably thee most amazing song in the game. I enjoy it because it makes you feel like.. throwing your sorrows away and just enjoying the endless night of fun. This also makes me thing of like a poker table and all the bad guys from DC Comics like the Joker, Two Face, Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze, and like.. Croc are sitting and playing the game each having little schemes in their heads about how to win the game. But I get that because Treno is like a city of thieves pretty much..

  • Ragtime time!

  • Another highball!

  • No worldmap + No Nobuo music + No side quests (Chocobo game, Card Game) = Not a Final Fantasy anymore.... It is weird how japanese people are smart and at the same time unable to figure out this very obvious facts ....

R.I.P Final fantasy series (put FFX-2 release date here)

Thumb up + Copy paste so Square Enix get the message..

  • @itachy963 Contrary to what you may think, YouTube comments do not reach video game companies.

  • @doom032 please tell me what does then :/

  • @itachy963 Not much. E-mails, maybe.

  • Here's to the Treno drunk who was a little down on his luck. *hiccup* *drinks*

  • last ff with a big world map :(

  • I DIDN'T MEAN TO STEAL FROM HER! HERE I BOUGHT A POWER BELT!!

    *recieves Power Belt*

    SWEET! :D

  • It seems Nobuo used the part around the 45 second in Spinach Rag in this song. See for yourself.

  • Ahh Treno, how I love thee, I'd go to the city numerous times just to hear this wonderful tune :)

  • My favorite song in the game!!!

  • Treno, I would love to make a city like this happen someday :)

  • This has to be one of my favourite tracks from the FF9 OST. I feel Uematsu really captures the essence of a city that never sleeps...1:36=1:57 has that "quiet alleyway" feel, and then it transitions back into the ragtime theme; it fits Treno and its attractions so well.

  • Damn good music from back when Final Fantasy was still a respectable series. I remember when I played FFXI I had a friend replace the Jueno music with this track and for all those hours, I still never got the least bit tired of it. Uematsu was simply the master.

  • So classy and brilliant. I just love this track that i can imagine it being played whilst playing the cards... just amazingly classy.

  • *waits for 3 items to finish at the auction so I can bid on the third*

This music was implanted on my brain I spent so much time at that auction house

  • this is y i wish there is such place as treno....

  • naem on that one eats much and thinking on food;]? i love that song and he my favo char

  • Haha, this song makes me feel happy and in a dancing mood. I really love this game too, sadly I never got to finish it since one of the discs got a scratch on it. I swer I died inside when I saw that scratch! To make things worse I can't find the game anywhere! =;C

  • you could play it again via ps1 emulator then just download a cd image if the game. :)

  • @comebackata2 I can play both ff7 and 8 on epsxe. But i can nvr seem to play ff9 despite having downloaded its file! Do u have by any chance a valid link to download the file?

  • @LollipopEnchantress1 its on playstation store now =)

  • @LollipopEnchantress1

I'm not sure if this is on Xbox Live but it's downloadable on the PS3 store.

  • @LollipopEnchantress1 PS Network is selling PS one games to download onto PS3 and PSP. I actually sold my hard copy of the game cuz i got tired of switching between discs and not remembering where the hell i was...

  • @LollipopEnchantress1 And you can buy it for like $13 on Amazon.

  • @LollipopEnchantress1 Try PSN! :3 If you have a PSP you can get an account and download it for 7:99 english Sterling or equivalent i imagine, it's 1.5 gigs. You can download it to your PSP directly or, if it can't connect to your router, transfer it from PC to PSP. And then play it from there. :D

  • @LollipopEnchantress1 Haha this happened to me with final fantasy 7. I beat the game already but then I wanted to play it again...ehhh maybe 2 months later and it was knowhere to be found. But oh well I stil got FF 5-13, I think i manage on playing one of those....including this wonderful game@!!!

  • @LollipopEnchantress1 Or buy a PSP and buy the game in the PSP store, it's very cheap! (90.00 swe kroner, for me XD)

  • @LollipopEnchantress1 i have all ff 6 7 8 9 and a playstaion 1 all in perfct working condition...with original ps1 joypad no analog....how much would pay for all that stuff?

  • @LollipopEnchantress1 For God's sake man, download it from the PSN store now!!!! It's pretty cheap.

  • @LollipopEnchantress1 Oh hey, you too? D:

  • @LollipopEnchantress1 try your local flee market I found me a copy of super metroid, megaman x3 and ff7 there!

  • @LollipopEnchantress1

try gamexchange, thats where i found Suikoden 2 (many years ago as a child)

  • @LollipopEnchantress1

or you could just buy it, i bet you will find it online

  • Yessss. I love honky tonk, and this theme. <3

  • OMG this game is incridible, perfect, i love cg movies on this game....THE litlle mage is a destroyer machine, he was my favorite, he and his sword master, made a excellent combos, hit

  • maybe...i have listened that ff VIII is very incridible game too, but i v never playied it.. i have playied final fanasy xII but i did not like it : )

but I love cg movies/videos in final fantasy IX : )

  • Yea Final Fantasy XII sucked, unfortunately. Only thing good about it is the visual quality, and some nice music. Final Fantasy VIII is a big sci-fi soap opera, lot's of romance, mistery and action, and a very long gameplay. Final Fantasy X is even better, the story really touches us. And like I said, FFIV, V and VI are deities among RPGs.

  • Great memories!

Almost makes me want to get up and do the waltz with someone! ;) Any offers?

  • parece como si la cancion estuviese contando una historia :)

  • This always reminds me of Kinderscenen by Schumann.

  • It sort of reminds me of Grandpa's flashbacks in Hey Arnold! Just saying since it is the same genre of music.

Definitely one of my favorite pieces.

  • Ha, I wrote a piano piece the other day and I thought it sounded really familiar. Turns out I'd just managed to summon memories of this tune from 10 years ago!

  • all i think when i hear this is TETRA MASTER! YES

  • lol this song makes me feel all trippy! treno, such a beautiful place.

  • Anybody find this make you want to play this game again? XD

  • and I am playing again now :DD

  • damn you. i read you comment and now im on disc 2...2:34 minutes into it. such great memories. id love to live there

  • i remember running around treno just to listen to this when i used to play FFIX

    love this..

  • This is seriously one of the best songs in FF IX. And yea, I ran around there a lot. Most memorable place. It was freaking amazing!

    I miss it so much.

  • this sounds like 'Spinach Rag' is that correct?

  • Fitting, because Nobuo was making the soundtrack into a giant tribute to Final Fantasies of the past.

And because Treno is a lot like Zozo.

  • FF9 is my fav, the soundtrack is awesome

treno, linblum, alexandria, it has very deep fairy tale atmosphere ....

  • A Peaceful night in a huge city full of towns-folk alive at a slow pace. Set under a starry-sky, the music of the Sleepless city of Treno just creates an unforgettable experience in FFIX. One of my favorite Piano pieces from this game.

  • Bring back memories =D

  • eh..

ff9 it's part of my life!

  • nice love it!!

    GreetZ to ALL FF-Fans!!!

  • i remember staying in this town for so long just running around, or at times just stood still, just to admire how awesome this song is

Uematsu is a legend, the John Williams of video games for sure

  • hahaha! i did the same too! or rather, my sister played the game and i asked her to stay longer in the town coz i wanted to listen to the song! XD

  • LOOLL is it weird to say that i did that too? xD I stayed mostly in the auction house.

oh, how i love this game. ~<3

beats all the other FF's out there.

  • lovely:)

  • WHAAAAAAAAAA

    this brings back memories =(

  • THIS is the way I love Piano to be played!

Acoustic Guitar is much better for slow mellow songs.

  • my favourite town..to playind cards ;) great atmosphere thanks to this theme

  • Sounds like a mute black and white movie music, those that stoped to show the text hehe. Charlie chaplin style :D

  • this reminds me of 1920's in a NY bar playing cards while drinking beer... nice piece. :)

  • hahah this piece reminds me of a little quiet pub where they sell beer and theres a pianist on the side playing out little pieces for the crouwds enjoyment XD

  • This always makes me think of silent movies.

"Ah, 'tis ye old Manhattan! A wonderful sight for this old knickerbocker!"

  • "Aye, but ye better be lookin' out fer th'4 armed bandit..."

  • nice

  • Treno is awesome :D Best place to play cards :D

  • hahhaha

yeah and the place where you get good items too like dark matter and etc...

  • Good video. My favorite video game ever made. My fave. character is Vivi. For some reason Treno's music make me think about the year 1600. Which century does it make you all think about? Weird huh? Thanks for posting.

  • It makes me think of brighton in the 1910's

  • Thanks for the reply me fellow human being. Cauze I am relly interested in this.

  • Makes me think of the 1920's in the US.

  • makes me think aboot a posh palace-y place

in around the 1900's, with the silent films etc.

  • Cool. Never heard of it though. Thank's for the responce keeth.

  • This song makes me kinda sleepy... but this song is really cool... LOVED THE VIDEO!!!!!! INCLUDNG VIVI!!!!!!
