Hey man I bought the Lacie 1Tb external hard drive, and one thing that I noticed though when I plugged in my Windows XP that it only contained 32gb which was an outrage! Because i thought it lost all of that gbs worth and I couldnt return it anymore. Is there any way in which I could fix this problem? Please reply. Thanks!
Just bought this drive today for my Mac Book Pro to couple my 320 G Tech mini drive for On location photo shoots. I plan to use this drive for my studio. I mainly use it for time machine and just transferred close to 220GB to this bad boy. It's awesome so far.
it's a great HD, but be aware from an owner of 2 of those buy only the one that has a usb and not then one that has a USB / eSata / FireWire since it will freeze your PC using eSata & FireWire. upon contacting tech support they them self can not figure it out.! Do not transfer file of more then 8gb at the time it will feezze
@steadygroovin hi thx for the help and yes i foud one website that told me how to crack it open, but fortunatly it wasnt necessary because my usb cable was bad so i replaced it, and it works..
by the way if you ever have a lacie drive that when u turn it on it spins up and then spins down again it doesnt mean its bad it could just be the usb cable, check and save time and data
damn ugly pixel graphics used for the plugs ;) im looking for 3d animation tutorials tho

Don't buy this. Looks pretty. Fails early. (no not the power supply, USB, E-SATA or FW cable). Poor design.

3-stars for the limited information on the drive. But two more stars for correctly pronouncing the company, "La See"
