  • Great tutorial.. thanx...

  • shit man, i'm sorry i still cant stop laughing! ha ha ha

  • omg, is this guy for feel, imagine how he sweet talks his wife! so funny i pissed my self!

  • Very well explained. Got it first time. Thanks.

  • great!

  • excellent!! thank you very much

  • excellent explaination! thank you very much.

one other question, does anyone know about the speed of lenses. i bought an SLR for product shots, but the SLR always shows a greyish background, but when i use our old G3 canon, i can get the background white and product not washed out.

The ISO on old G3 goes down to 50 while SLR goes to only 100.

The same is true for F and Shutter speed.

Is it just the lense in the SLR that is holding it back?

    Thanks heaps

    Jason

  • Ditto

  • amazingly explained...

  • Anyone remember the SID chip on the C-64 and program Talking Sam??

  • Very good explanation for beginners but there's no need for pitch shifting your voice.

You might think it sounds more serious like this (and when used with caution - I mean just a little - it would indeed) but in this case it's pretty obvious and sounds unnatural. I think it might be a good idea to just use your clean, natural voice, nothing's wrong with it or use a small amount of pitch shift (one or two tone), perhaps.

  • great

  • Thanks a lot man <3

  • hi! we are organizing a group of photohobbyists in our school and we find your video very informative. is it okay if we use this video as part of our presentation?

  • What does a lense have to do with the shutter ? Pls reply...

  • @WeirdPianoGuy /////// nothing, but the apperture blades inside the lense gettting close as much as you set the apperture automatically following the shutter speed the same time with the censor when its open. cmiiw

  • very informative BUT scary dude!!!!

He knows a lot about aperture, iso, etc... but obviously the cam op doesn't know much about head room!

Now let's put the aperture back where it was

U rock, this is the way Tutorials r Made..

  • Very very good video!! Thank you!!

  • WOW! JUST THE TUTORIAL I WAS LOOKING FOR. NEVER KNEW OR UNDERSTOOD ISO, SHUTTER SPEED OR APERTURE. I JUST RELIED ON MY CANON REBEL G EOS CAMERA BOUGHT IN 1997 TO DO THE AUTO FOCUSING FOR ME. NOW THAT DIGITAL IS IN & ITS HARD TO GET FILM ANYMORE I TEND TO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH LIGHTING AND BLURRY PIX. ESPECIALLY WHEN THE SUBJECT MOVES. I USE MY SAMSUNG GALAXY TABLET :-). STILL SAVING FOR MY NEXT NEW DSLR CAMERA. ANYONE KNOWS WHERE I COULD GET A USED 1 DONATED TO ME? LIVE IN L.A. TNX 4 D VIDEO.

  • @MIZZNIGHTINGALE FYI, all caps = YELLING. Also it is kinda hard to read.

  • Thank you so much. This was very helpful.

  • please check out my blog :) ducklingphotography.blogspot

  • finally! excellent video for beginners. soooo easy to understand. thank you so much!

  • At last a tutorial for amateurs, thank you and well done.

  • So for night time photography you would need a Larger F1.4, 100 ISO,and Slow Shutter Speed right '? sorry am new to this

  • @MadStylezuk heres a tip for u:)

if ur shooting landscape: keep ur f-stop at ard f/ 8-22 to keep all ur subjects in focus. use iso 200-400 to give ur image a little noise. use long shutter speed (use a tripod)

shooting subjects moving: high iso, large aperture, fast shutter speed.

tip for u, experiment y ur own. noe ur own style. different variation creates different effects. all the best:D

  • Sounds like Microsoft Voice Chat ??

  • excellent video...a simple teaching indeed...

  • the theme music and video style makes me feel like ive gone back in time!!!!!!!!

  • Very good video! Clear and well explained.

    Cheers

    Vibhu

  • super cool video..man!!

  • Good video. Lots of info. Bad audio editing though. Whoever editted the voice over didn't use any fades. Yikes!

  • This is very useful for a beginner like myself. Just bought a Nikon D3100 and this tutorial will come in handy into understanding the full use of my new Nikon D3100. Thank you very much !

  • I love this video. It was very easy to understand like a good professional professor. I wish you have a diagram print out of these aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. I just bought Nikon DSLR and trying to learn the basic.

  • This is definitely one of the best videos I've seen on YouTube to help me understand exposure and how different elements of a camera effect different things.

  • I've watched a bunch of videos on the exposure triangle. This one is the clearest--explains all of the basics in a way that beginners can grasp easily. I was still a bit mystified after watching the other videos. After watching this one, I feel like I've got the info I need to go out and experiment with exposure, so I can really grasp the skill.

    Thanks!

  • HI ARE YOU? ONE OF THE TRANSFORMER? YOU MUST BE BUMBBLEBLAD!

  • stephen hawking knows not only science, but photography aswel

  • well explained tutorial i have seen!!!!! thumbs up!!!!

  • Great vid with good info. Just wish his tone wasn't so dry/serious

  • I love your video very much. I would really want to be an excellent photographer. I believe that one day I will be where I want to be. I know I have no means to get proper tuition, but when I keep on practicing, I will one day climb up the photography ladder. Anyway thanks for your video, and GOD bless you so much. JOSEPH, from KENYA.

  • This voice-over effect is kinda distracting. Good content though. I suggest backing off a bit on the mic and place a pop filter on it. And lighten up on the compression for a bit more natural feel. Even better, use a lav mic and don't voice-over.

    Thanks

  • Thank You- but u have a strange Movie guy android robotic voice??

  • Very informative!Good job!

  • why does have to talk like that???... he's just making me sleepy...Damnnn

  • this was helpful but couldn't they have found someone with some character...

  • Very helpful, thank u!

  • The chart referring to the apertures is incorrect. You forgot to include F2.0/. You jump from f1.4 to f2.8 you left out f2.0. You did this twice. It is missing in the ISO, aperture, and shutter speed chart also. You are confusing all of your viewers. Check your facts before you post.

  • @richardostrowski1 shut up...

  • cheers

  • whoa you sound like that dude from that movie lol.
