This is taken from the Charles Dickens novel 'Hard Times'. The character is Thomas Gradgrind.
Richard Dawkins wrote The God Delusion. It's completely unrelated.

Dawkins strikes me as contemporary Gradgrind and this is reflected in the attitude of their audience/students. They assualt Fancy and priviledge Fact.
