There is a difference between legal and safe. Our government is stupid. If they ride slow they can get caught. There is almost nowhere a dirt bike can legally ride unless you have your own land which at these kids age is impossible. Let them ride in the state forests if you want them off paths.
And how about letting opposing posts stay there Goebbels.
If they are kids as you say then it's the parents who should supply the land! You are also advocating that they ride fast simply to avoid the law. What a strange example to be teaching kids! Respect for others and the community's laws is essential in society. Of course there is a difference between legal and safe, they are two different words with different meanings. They are explaining two parts of an issue. I support finding them somewhere to ride, but they shouldn't do this in the meantime.
Maybe you don't get it. Trailbikes are illegal on footpaths--FULL STOP! They shouldn't be there, there is no room for discussion. They don't go slow, they know they are breaking the law and do so with total disrgard for the public safety. Violators should be treated as Hoons, their bikes should be confiscated and if they repeatedly offend, crushed up. If they want to ride trails they can do so on a mounntain bike. The motorbikes somewhere else, they don't belong on footpaths--FULL STOP!.
@Roosty1950 if you owned a dirt bike and new that there is absolutly now where to ride legally because the fucking council is to lazy to make a place for us to ride so we ride on trails thats what a trail bike is for. people spend there hard earned money on dirt bikes so fuck you for saying to get them crushed
Firstly let me congratulate you for you concillitory attidue towards the two opposed camps. I would just like to suggest an idea you might be able to foster with the riders.... continued nex post...
There are so many encounters that walkers have with riders in which the riders are rude, uncaring, and down-right dangerous in their behaviour. Perhaps, you could encourage the riders to have a different attitude towards these meetings like... Showing courtesty towards walkers by slowing down when passing, giving a friendly greeting, and other ways of acknowledging that they are in the walkers space. continued nex post...
The attitude of distain they often show is of no help and in fact is detrimental to their cause for places to ride.
I will in turn try to foster the same concillitory attitude from the walkers side. Maybe a code of understanding and better and safer conduct might make this impass turn towards a more workable senario.
As an off road motor cycle rider I agree with the young fellas riding on these trails but unfortunately our government is so narrow minded that they don't see banning off road vehicles from more and more areas is making it harder to find legal riding areas. Clubs like the rtra are fighting to secure us places in the perth hills to ride, maybe this could be something that your community could support and then everybody wins.
I would love them to have fun. But riding bikes that can and do - do damage and often terrorise pedestrians (on this bridle track & walking reserve) is a not the way. Are these perhaps your kids or like yours or do you simply condone this brand of uncaring behaviour. Suggesting that other crimes are caused by concerned people protecting a walking nature trail is loose logic. Also it is a bit demeaning to many bikers that they would be breaking and entering if they werent doing this.
Thinking about it though! You are also right in a way. Its not just their fault... The boys behaviour and the attitudes that often come with it; do not necessarily come directly from them. Somebody behind the scenes is enabling it.
Perhaps if we could come up with something they can have fun at, without either: causing discomfort for others or, driving the boys into crime. Their parents probably should be able to help with this. If they were my boys I'd be willing to do what I could to facilitate them into more friendly pursuits. Maybe your closer to these sorts and may be better placed to suggest a workable solution to better everybodys lot here. I know its not simple...
ok all there doing is riding little 50s on the dirt tracks not a big deal there just trying to have fun and since you cant do anything in this worlds without someone banning it. wat would u prefer they do ride harmless bikes or brake in to your house and commit crimes thats what your leading them to doing by making them bored and banning all the fun things they do.

Have a cry you do-gooder.
They complain about kids being fat, It's because old biddies like yourself complain about everything kids enjoy doing.
"They are being loud"
"They are kicking a ball on a road"
"He has a slingshot"
"He rides a bike without a helmet"
Grow up and get on with your life you fool, It's for everyone to use and enjoy not just yours and your knitting clubs!!

Nice shooting. I hope the parents see this ungracious behaviour of their little cherubs.
More please! :)
