  • well i imagine how feel galaraga about it...but it is in the pass...the venezuelans can do it again...come on....

  • i umpired little league baseball for a few years, and I felt awful when I blew easy calls like that. I cant even imagine how shitty that guy feels, considering i umped 9-10 year olds, and he blew a perfect game. :O

  • is this the real interview

  • @drew2815 yes it is, with the music added

  • This man deserves total respect for his honesty and bravery in admitting his mistake. From what I know, he's one of the best umps in baseball. It's very unfortunate that he made a mistake in the worst possible circumstances. I also agree with applauding Galarragas' class and aplomb.

IMO, the real issue is: why is Mr. Bud Selig (and a lot of other baseball traditionalists) so opposed to lending the umps a hand, and saving them from the ridicule that Mr. Joyce has gone through? It's about time..

  • this interview is Jim being a man and not a coward

  • @devilsgoalie13 are you crazy or you drank fuel? what is really impressive is armando behavior; joyce should be talking to bud sellig right now in order to revert de decision, Jim is like a modern member of Ku klus Klan, he is just a racist, you can see it in his face, the omnipotence. IT WAS A DARK DAY FOR BASEBALL!!!

  • @bosmustang10

How is he a piece if shit? He got the call wrong and is sorry about it.

  • what a piece of shit this guy is

  • @bosmustang10 id say you a piece of shit. its a fucking sport. too have fun. he knows he got the call wrong, he knows he screwed up. hes apologizing. so stfu dude and get a fucking life

  • nobody is perfect jim joyce isn't perfect. Everybody makes mistakes. That includes jim joyce. He is a 22 year veteran. He just made a mistake

  • Hey Jim Joyce. If I ever see you I'm going to spit in your face you cock sucking asshole piece of shit. Fuck your mother!

  • @Berlitz777 i guess you're not getting a corvette for your sportmanship

  • @critter2 actually better yet, u try suckin my cok fag.

@lillouielou22 hard dude this guy is a fukin joke he should really get a life or simply gettin laid. but NO instead hes beefing ppl on youtbe while performing the ATM, waht a douche

  • @vicecity117 lovey replay.... proves enough to me

  • Baseball absolutely should NOT start bringing instant replay into every freaking play because of this, no matter how painful it was. And if Bud Selig reversed the call, what's to prevent every player or manager from demanding that game results be changed because of bad calls after that? They couldn't reverse this if baseball is going to be kept in any kind of order.

It's very sad, but I actually agree with Selig's decision to let what happened on the field stand.

  • Racist

  • @colomblanco why?

  • i think we should forgive the ump.

  • The thing about this that puzzles me, is why wouldn't the MLB commissioner, reverse the call on the field? He CAN DO THAT. This guy made one of the worst, most obvious calls in the game and has takem one hell of a beating for it. Even HE would change the call, if he could. He really IS a stand up guy, the pitcher too. I think the way they both handled it, was first rate. Why aren't there more umps and players like this in professional sports? Hats off to both of them.

  • @LesterMGillis its a judement call its final. no he cannot. you don't fing get the baseball rules. there is but people like u who don't understand rules isa the problem.

  • @critter2 All I was saying, was that they should make an exception in this case. I know it is a final call and there is no repealing the call. I was making the case for why it should be allowed, since even in this day and age, there is still mistakes that can happen, with blown calls like that.

  • @LesterMGillis i am going to disagree. cause if tey change this call than there going to go around and change all the calls from wrong to right. this why there not going to do it. mistakes are part of the game. should we take errors away? your taking part of the game away. without replay would re really know if he was safe or out no. the problem is many americans forgot how human error is part of the game. bad and good. and there at full speed not a slow down verison.

    i umpire myself

  • @critter2 That is a valid point.

  • @LesterMGillis most realizable person i comment to on you tube today wow.

  • Everyone, including this poor guy, knows he blew the call. Let's move beyond that. Why can't it be corrected after the fact? I blame Selig for not doing the right thing. Screw the "purists" who say this should be the final outcome. Instant replay will only slow an already slow ass game down.

    Baseball gets yet another strike...(sigh)

  • @MrBigHipLover it can't be overtrun its a final its final call.

  • ese es un hijo de la gramputa

  • He is gonna have to live with this for the rest of his life. He blew the most important call of his life and thats what he will be remembered for. Galaragga will never come close to getting another perfect game in his life. And its gone like that....

  • @xsomexrandomxstonerx

well dont curse the guy. never say never.

  • @xsomexrandomxstonerx Never say never!

  • Dudes I surely believe him he is being honest give him a fuckin break will ya

  • A big example of needed replays in baseball this poor man is getting critized for making a mistake.

  • @lillouielou22

i agree, this traditionalist bullshit needs to stop..life is about progression, and baseball needs to catch up..we can still use umpires, but when there is a questionable call thats of importance, it should go under review, like in every other major sport..

  • @itzahazylife agreed

  • @itzahazylife hell no

  • @lillouielou22 bs no need for replay.

  • @critter2 Now tell me why is what I said is BS? Now you tell me are you in the god damn MLB? NO. So stfu! He made a mistake cant they look over it like in the NBA or NFL? Nd stop fucking acting like an asshole to people on youtube for having opinions. Get a fucking life...

  • everyones being a dick. obviously he feels really bad about it...shit give the guy a break

  • YOU FREAKING SUCK!

  • wait, so if an umpire makes a call, there's no way to reverse it even if he clearly fucked up?

if so, who the hell wrote that rule, did he think humans are fucking perfect or something?

  • @iwantram3n they can but he believe on the field that he was safe. and is final judement call its final. the rules were written to make it fair to all teams get over it.

  • he deserves credit to owning up too it.

  • Everyone in the world knows that Galarraga threw a perfect game. Even Jim Joyce knows it and is sorry for a bad call. So, Armando Galarraga is the only man in history to have 3 perfect games in one season. Congratulations Mr. Galarraga. You are one class act, period!

  • @Mikerochip1 hahahaha wtf are u talking about......there have been 3 perfect games this season by all pitchers. Not Armando Galarraga. You officially fail. Epically.

  • wow.too bad.

  • I MISSEd IT, I MISSED IT!! well how about next time u stop blowing horses and make the rite fukin call. Like who cares even if he was safe just give it to him FUK..!

  • @vicecity117 you try to make the right calll you try. see if you can do it.

  • kinda makes you wana cry...psych!

  • Well give him thumbs up for the fact that he actually told every one that he had missed the call and that he now knows that he missed the call. I hope that every one will know that fact and stop complaining!

  • he is a man and told the truth like a man, thats all anyone can do, pitty, alot woulda lied there way out of it....or made an exuse of some kind.

  • Can you imagine if we actually had a U.S president (Dem or Rep) that was this admitting and honest?

  • @ArcadiaWinter That would be refreshing, but it'll never happen with government or in management of large organizations. Politicians know that too many apologies gives the opposition ammunition to attack their record.

  • @golfprogress That would take a lot of time of goverment and Bud Selig would be pissed for taking so much time every time a politician makes a mistake, or TVs showing them.

  • @golfprogress

    Look up Ron Paul

  • @RighteouslyWicked I'm a Libertarian, but I don't think enough Americans think the way I do to put a true Libertarian in the White House.

  • @ArcadiaWinter

    Look up Ron Paul

  • thats why baseball needs instant replay!

  • So, now that we all know the call was incorrect, give him the perfect game. I think the MLB will never do it though...a) because what's done is done and b) they'll get way more marketing from this bad call than they would ever get from the perfect game. "This isn't a call....this is a history call...and I kicked the shit out of it...and there's nobody that feels worse than I do..." They will be working this into baseball documentaries for the rest of time (lol)!

  • Gringo de Mieeeeerda tenía que ser....típico la cagan y después piden disculpas..

  • @macapaima he aint a foreigner

  • Also this sad music made me feel sorry for Joyce. His bravery is preparing his responsibility. I hope so.

  • Jim Joyce shouldn't screw the call like this. he blew it. But he felt bad about that and i understand. Now, I feel his pain. but really feel sorry for Amando. Sounds like he's talking tearfully. Poor Joyce. Can his career be affected?. Joyce worked for many years and he's feeling tight about the 2 days old harsh call. Plus, the music really connects his emotions. I like this vid

  • IT'S A GAME! GET OVER IT!

  • @ronthemoron ur obviously a douchebag who plays world of warcraft all day. a perfect game is rare and is special. dont watch videos if u don't truly understand what there about.

  • @LadyGaGaDemos Haha how is that the obvious assumption? You people need to ease up about a fucking game. Stop persecuting the guy for a mistake.

  • good point, he will become more famous, more people will hear about it, and everyone will still know he pitched a perfect game...over time nobody will care whatsoever anymore because when u think about it, its just the official ruling, everyone still knows he pitched a perfect game...

  • He blew it Big Time!.... But a Stand up Guy for saying he was wrong! and forever now will have to live with him being known for nothing elase but F-ing up the most important call in his Career!... No thanks! Most Sad day for Baseball, Galaragga, and Joyce!!

  • very sad day in baseball history.

  • this dude can suck a dick becuase a dick eating fat pussy

  • @Spragud interesting statement, I will look that up.

  • I feel for the guy but why would you error safe in that situation, did he not realize the implications? Was this a make-up for the Johnny Damon call the inning before? I will not bash Joyce, he made an honest mistake, but man. I was there, I truly thought I saw the first perfect game in Tigers history. Officially or Unofficially , I know that I did.
