or bomber when they're close to you. you can hear this monster plane from over a mile away. :)

I remember when my dad was stationed at yokota afb in Japan. When we left on emergency leave and stuff, they'd put us on the next plane going back to the states. The C-5 Galaxy happened to be one of them... it was... incredible. :D

Used to live on the Corpus Christi NAS, and saw many C5's take off and land. It was AWESOME to see those huge planes flying over. They always seemed to be going very slow, but their immense size gave that illusion. The sound is the best!!

I've seen the C-5 in action at a local air show many years ago. The size of the airplane is impressive. But the sound of its engines is unforgettable.

Of course your going to see them all the time there. Lackland Air Force Base is one of the bases that use the C-5 galaxy

I felw on this plane a few years ago, as a millitary dependant and i remember there being no windows and the seats are faced backwards..and there was about only 30 seats!
