so the breathing opening has to match the volume of air that is displaced by the speakers?

@johncartelli um, yep, or it becomes a ported secondary enclosure, which would basically turns something like this into a really bad sounding bandpass enclosure.

it looks nice as hell cuz but what type of material is that you have it looks like sheet rock but im not sure. im in the same process now on my 87 buick regal
