I bought Spore and GA but there keys don't work anymore so I was forced to get an illigal copy

See I want to play "Better Spore" a mod for the game and when I get to the space stage the graphics glich up

I'm assuming I need patch 1.3 at least because thats the requirements but I want to know if this is going to fix the problem before buying a whole new game set...

you need to download EA's Download Manager (google it) and it should patch the game when you start it up.

I don't even have patch 1 (because I don't have evoadvantage), but when I try to patch it says files have been modified and I have to re-install, but then how do I save my game files and will I lose one of the 5 registration keys? Btw I have a Mac so I can't use EADM

for those who are having problems opening the game here is a solution go to Computer > C: drive> program files > electronic arts > Spore > sporebin > Sporeapp.exe. im afraid if you want to use this game you will have to do the above to play. If you are a vista user there is a easier way. Delete the Spore shortcut from your desktop. then go to start > games then drag that spore to your desktop. thus giving a functunal shortcut. this works for 2-3 times then repeat the above. hope i helped. devie.

it works just fine for me all the time, i don't see how you can't just make a shortcut to the sporeapp.exe. thats what i did, only because, when i installed it, it didn't come with a shortcut

download the EA Download Manager, open i then start spore and it will ask if you would like to update or sumtin if u havent downloaded any patches so far it will take roughly an hour or two depending up on ur internet connection
