Also I think they only made a remake because in the us they have different rules of the things allowed on tv and I think the English version was a bit to risky. they did get the same person that made shameless to make shameless US so I think that's why its more tolerable then if they had got a new person to do it.

i love both versions but i hate that people say they only like this one because the actors are hot. In the UK version they actually show the different people not just some pretty actors you can see in soap operas. shameless portrays a real living environment in the UK

@FinalDestination018 Because in the UK we show so many American shows...in their pure form, without being changed for the UK audience. British writers are fantastic and Shameless is meant to be gritty and very English. So when the US just remake our shows as theirs...YEAH it gets a little annoying. It's the fact that many Americans probably haven't heard of the UK original and that the American version doesn't do it fair justice...why can't America just show our programs too???

@phychoangel15 I'm sorry, but our acting style is more dramatic, less realistic maybe, but much more engaging and entertaining. On top of this, our actors tend to be more attractive, once again, less realistic, but more engaging. Finally, our budgets are much larger, this allows for much better camera-work and explains why our shows are filmed like movies with dark lighting and flawless frame rate as well as higher quality.

@thakatspajamaz you know, I'll give you that, America's films and shows are better quality in terms of camera work and lighting..but I can't fully agree with you on the acting being dramatic makes it more engaging...just because the scene is tougher or uses tensions better doesn't mean it's funner or even more entertaining. plus there are plenty of HOT British actors, some of them in the Shameless series ( Elliott Tittensor being one.)

You are right that it is possibly Cameron's age that has a baring on his "sexual" interactions, but mild making out is hardly pushing it.
