@spidermanwee415 You need to have a magic memory stick for it to work you can create one using PSP Grader 8. Once done activate the psp with out the memory card then insert it whist holding the L button it should invoke the utility.

just so you all know you can fix the slim batty back to normal by filling in the cut with a pencil the the pencil lead will fill in and reconnect the electrical connection it dose work i have changed mine back and forth 4 times now but i am going to put in a dip switch one day so i can go back a forth with out worrying if it will keep working

No. You can use a normal battery or memory card. AND you can use your pandora battery.

If you didn't know, as soon as you download the software onto your psp, your memory card automatically gets reverted to normal.

It doesn't matter whether you use a pandora or a normal battery AFTER applying cfw on your psp. Both work fine.

I understand your problem, you have a model 1001 PSP. Sweet. I lost one of mine. Anyways you'll notice on the top you have a microchip board with two sinks.

The smallest one is the ICO4 sink which is the one you have to modify...

If you hold the battery so the part that sticks out (with three slits) is on the top side and the small black chip is on the bottom. You'll need to remove the bottom-right pin on the ico4 board. Make sure you don't get it wrong.

Open it COMPLETELY like i did, take off the cap, the mother board is ON TOP of the silver thing, I just showed that in the vid>

so do this..

1.Carefully cut the battery open making sure not to cut the silver battery.

2. Carefully wedge off the cap.

3. do the work on the motherboard.

It won't blow up.. If someone is really stupid and gets a chainsaw and cuts it in half, it WONT BLOW UP, it'll leak and there will be a really bad smell.

But even if you cut by accident into the battery nothing will happen because it has a 3 layer carbon fiber protecter. ALL you have to do is follow the instructions and you'll do it fine. :)

Look Chinikami, RRAguys and SKB66 did it fine, and now they're running custom firmware.
