This is whimsical humor at it's best. I just noticed the guy introduced at 1:20 isn't wearing just any donkey costume. He's officially dressed as Eeyore. If you look closely, the name is sewn on the front. I suppose that means the Sad Street Performer is probably dressed as Tigger.
