In same year in Alberta the violent crime rate was 888, British Columbia the violent crime rate was 980, in the North West Territories the violent crime rate was a staggering 5834. Considering the population of the NWT is only about 40,000 you have a 1 in 7 chance of being involved in a violent crime just by living there.

I got to this video by doing a youtube search for "Rachel Maddow owned". It was the top search result. At first, I thought that youtube's search algorithms must be screwed up, since she was clearly the one doing the owning in this video.
Upon further inspection, I realized that ALL the videos that appeared in the search results were clips of Rachel owning someone else, and not of her getting owned.
As far as I can tell, the woman has never been owned by anyone, at least not on youtube.

@SadieMirsade Really, well here's some food for thought, the average violent crime rate for the United States in 2007 was 472 violent crimes per 100,000 people. In same year in Alberta the violent crime rate was 888, British Columbia the violent crime rate was 980, in the North West Territories the violent crime rate was a staggering 5834. Considering the population of the NWT is only about 40,000 you have a 1 in 7 chance of being involved in a violent crime just by living there.

@SadieMirsade Oh a little afterthought, the violent crime rates per 100,000 people in Texas and Arizona, two of the most gun-crazy States in the Union are a little better than half that of British Columbia and Alberta. Disarmed citizens are not safe citizens.

I saw Frum here at UNLV about a year ago. I'm a liberal, but he was very smart, funny and interesting. He's a really genuine person and he believes in conservatism. At least he's honest about his own beliefs.

As a liberal, I find David Frum to be one of the more moderate voices on the right. One of the few Republicans who had the courage to criticize Rush Limbaugh publicly,

@SadieMirsade I don't know what province you live in, but that's not how it works in my home province of Alberta where we only recently got rid of healthcare premiums, enjoy some of the longest waiting periods in the developed world, and do not enjoy full coverage on things like ambulance trips, perscriptions, etc. Oh and I'm dealing with a mother dying of lung cancer right now (no she wasn't even a smoker), so I've got to see just how well Canadian healthcare "works".
