The abortion issue is not about whether or not a mother has a right to choose. The issue is whether a zygote is a human person from conception. Obviously this ignorant man hasn't read any philosophy of the human person. It would only make sense that without bringing religion into the picture, you can show that a zygote is a human person and it has rights from the earliest stages of life because of the kind of being that it is. If he did, he would see that his own opinion cripples all thought. Politics necessitates judgment of certain actions; if it were not so, we could not have criminal statutes or laws in general.
